Crochet a basic short-sleeved cardigan for little girls (0 to 5 years) - perfect for the transitional season.

During the transitional season, a long-sleeved shirt still isn’t enough, but a thick sweater is often already too much. A short-sleeved cardigan over a long-sleeved shirt or long-sleeved dress is perfect for that. It gives the torso extra warmth and looks very cute at the same time.

Give the jacket your desired look - the choice of colors and buttons makes the whole look. My cardigans got a light vintage look from the buttons. I love that! :-)

Here’s the pattern!

This crochet cardigan is crocheted using the raglan from the top method (top-down). So there are no seams! It has an especially good fit, because despite the raglan-from-the-top method, a crew neckline is worked here!

The jacket is described in detail in 6 sizes each with its own pattern, its own pictures, and crochet chart (everything has already been calculated here for all sizes!):

  • Size (50/56) newborn size
  • Size (62/68) approx. 3 to 6 months
  • Size (74/80) approx. 9 to 12 months
  • Size (86/92) approx. 18 to 24 months
  • Size (92/98) approx. 2-3 years
  • Size (104/110) approx. 4-5 years
Have fun crocheting!

This colorful children's jacket made of merino wool is just right for the transitional season. It is knitted top-down with raglan sleeves and has a hood and 2 pockets at the front. The jacket measurements fit sizes 92 to 104.

There are only two very small seams, one on each side of the pockets. The rest is knitted in.
Difficulty level: Knitting experience is recommended.

What makes it special: The pattern is written in a printer-friendly way. The pages with the photos do not need to be printed as well.

This cute cotton polo sweater is lightweight yet still keeps you warm. Its fresh red and yellow colors are perfect for spring.

The pattern is written so that even advanced beginners can follow it easily. Some knitting experience is helpful. The measurements are suitable for sizes 86–92—and if you knit it a little longer, it will even fit up to size 98. The sweater has almost no seams. Only the shoulders at the top are sewn or crocheted together.

Beautiful jacket made from gradient yarn. You can easily crochet this lightweight jacket yourself with the help of this pattern. In the 20-page pattern, every step is explained; a detailed size chart and the crochet charts help you complete your project. The RVO principle is explained in detail, so you’ll have no trouble crocheting the jacket in other sizes and yarn qualities, too. Size 36/38 is explained row by row. Thanks to the attractive pattern, this jacket will also look wonderful in solid-colored yarns. To crochet the jacket, you will need:● a 2–2.5 mm crochet hook ● plied Scheepjes Whirls, 215 g = 1000 m (100 g = 455 m). I used the color Pistaci Oh So Nice; for my jacket in size 36/38, I needed two Whirls. From size 42, you’ll need 3 Whirls; from size 48, about 4 Whirls. You can also use another yarn of your choice. ● matching buttons ● scissors ● a suitable cardigan or top to adjust the size if neededTo crochet the jacket, you need to know the following stitch variations:● single crochet (sc) ● double crochet (dc) ● half double crochet (hdc) ● popcorn stitch (explained) ● crossed double crochet (Xdc), (explained) ● front post double crochet (fpdc)Click here to go directly to the pattern

Gorgeous jacket / vest made from gradient yarnYou can crochet this dreamily beautiful jacket with the help of this pattern. The instructions are explained in detail over 13 pages, and pictures help you with the process. The RVO (RAGLAN FROM THE TOP) principle is explained in detail. The pattern includes both crochet charts and a written description of the rows.Tables help you make your project from toddler size to a women’s jacket. You can crochet this jacket in several variations...with or without sleeves, with a straight cut, or even as a pullover....The jacket shown in size 36/38 is described in detail row by row.To crochet the little jacket you will need:
  • a 3.0 mm crochet hook (if you are crocheting with a different yarn quality, use one suitable for the yarn)
  • 2 plied Scheepjes Woolly Whirls, 215g=1000m (100g=455m) for size S/M (if you would like to crochet the jacket in a different size, then accordingly 4 Whirls) I used the color Kiwi Drizzle, for my jacket in size 36/38 I needed two Whirls, the strand was held double so the jacket would be nice and cozy. Of course, you can also use the regular Whirls or a yarn in the quality you prefer. From size 40 upward you need 4 Whirls
  • possibly matching buttons (I used snap fasteners)
  • scissors
  • a matching little jacket or top to adjust the size if necessary
To crochet the jacket, you need to know the following stitch variations:

This timeless, chic poncho is also wonderfully suited for the transitional season. It is soft, versatile, and perfect for cozying up in.

Thanks to two cleverly placed buttons, this poncho is a true
quick-change artist. Since the buttons fit through the lace pattern, there is
no need to work in buttonholes—so the buttons can be fastened at any
spot you like, creating a variety of
ways to wear it!

Wonderful in spring and fall, for summer evenings, with a turtleneck underneath when it's cooler—so basically wearable all the time:

The PDF pattern is illustrated across 23 pages.

These knitting skills are needed:

We need
in total for sizes S to L approx. 450 g Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl), 100% mercerized cotton, label information: 50 g – 125 m yardage, needle size 2.5 – 3.5, gauge: 26 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm with the following color distribution:

A soul warmer like this is ideal for spring.
In this mustard yellow, it's simply unbeatable!

This zigzag pattern is simply fun and looks excellent on top of that.
The edging is worked with a relief pattern, which is simple yet very effective.

The shape of the soul warmer is made entirely without decreases or increases...
... so it is also absolutely recommended for beginners!

A detailed description guides you through the crochet process.
For clarification, there are 3 crochet charts in the pattern.
In addition, 3 schematics help you through the crochet process step by step.

This pattern is designed for sizes S/M/L/XL.
However, the pattern explains how the shrug can be easily adjusted to any size.
The included cut and the gauge help with that!

And here is the pattern and more details...

Very much in the spirit of spring -
it’s already warmer, but staying outside longer is more comfortable with wrist warmers :-)

The lace pattern adds an airy flair - the mohair quality still provides the necessary warmth!

A detailed step-by-step description as well as
an additional chart in knitting chart form guide you through the knitting process.

The length of the finished wrist warmers is about 26 cm.

And here’s the pattern and more details...

Sweaters are often worn during the transitional season

The knitting pattern for this baby sweater in sizes 6 months and 9 months is ideal for this time of year. Thanks to the buttons on the back, you can slip it on in a flash.

Don’t be intimidated by the pattern. You’ll need to know knit and purl stitches, decreases, and yarn overs. The pattern is explained precisely row by row in a knitting chart and also in written instructions, word for word.

The sweater is knitted with a soft yarn that has a length of 85 m per 25 g (e.g., Baby Smiles Merino by Schachenmayr). It took 150 grams of yarn.

Even for our daughters’ and granddaughters’ little dolls, it’s not yet time for airy dresses and short skirts. Ponchos are perfect for the transitional season! They are quick to crochet and quick to put on and take off. You can make the ponchos in different variations, so the doll mommies won’t get bored.

All you need is some sock yarn and a size 2.5 crochet hook—and you’re ready to get started! Make good use of the time now and crochet a few beautiful doll clothes. You’ll be rewarded with eyes shining with joy, that’s for sure.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern for the poncho with matching hat.

Warm regards from Ina

PS. Besides the somewhat muted colors that have an autumn feel, it can also be bright and springlike. The exact material details for each model are listed in the pattern.

In spring, children still need warm hats and scarves, but everything should be less bulky than in winter. For this model, I used 6-ply “Meilenweit” sock yarn by Lana Grossa. It has exactly the right weight for the transitional season. The yarn is wonderfully soft and
doesn’t scratch. The 80% virgin wool content makes it pleasantly warm and
temperature-regulating. You need 1 skein
of 150 g for the hat and scarf together. The hat fits
2- to 4-year-olds with a head circumference of 48–52 cm.

Click here and you’ll go directly to the free pattern for the pointed hat and triangular scarf.

I hope you have lots of fun making it.
Warm regards from Ina

There are endless hat patterns, and somehow they all look a bit alike—hats, after all. But most of them were too
thick for me. When you’re out and about on public transportation or in a
department store, the hat and scarf quickly became too warm and also heavy on your head. So they got stuffed into a bag and had to be carried around. That’s why I came up with a lightweight design
that fills this gap. The set consists of a casual and modern
slouchy hat and a matching scarf, which can also be made as a loop scarf. Thanks to the high-quality, fine yarn made from cuddly-soft baby alpaca, it is barely heavy at all (hat = 115 g) and doesn’t feel so heavy on your head
and will also fit in your handbag if needed. But thanks to the baby alpaca,
it still keeps you nice and warm.Click here and you’ll go directly to the pattern.

I hope you enjoy this project.

Warm regards from Ina

This jacket is knitted from top to bottom in one piece without any seams. The gorgeous lace pattern makes this cardigan something truly
special! Perfect for the transition between seasons—not too airy, but not too warm either. Have fun knitting :-))

This sweater is perfect for using up your leftover yarn. It’s knitted from the top down, in one piece, and without
seams. The shoulders feature a slight slant
worked with short rows (the pattern includes a link to a YouTube video
that explains this
technique very well ). For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armhole
and the sleeve cap is then knitted using short rows.
Perfect for fall!!
Sizes: 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, 44, 46, 48, 50.
