Hello Josefa
Then I’ll trust your crystal ball and hope it’s right.
January actually went pretty well for me. At the beginning of the month, my stubbed toe gave me trouble for two weeks, but everything’s fine again now. I had to keep my foot elevated, had a hard time walking, and so I got to do quite a bit of knitting and crocheting. Seen that way, it wasn’t so bad after all.
I used up a lot of yarn from my stash and am very happy with the result.
Now I’m looking forward to a wonderful February.
My crystal ball is the latest model and of the very best quality. :-)
The crystal ball says that February will bring us all many moments of happiness and more sunshine.
Thanks, Josefa, for consulting your crystal ball for us.
I’ll gladly take the predictions!
I think January was great. No one at home was sick—I haven’t had that in January for years. I finished up a few wonderful projects, most of which are already with their new owners.
I’ve come up with even more projects that I’d like to tackle in the coming months.
Now we’re in for those lovely, quiet days when you can’t quite work in the garden yet but can still enjoy the sun. Or the snow—whatever’s around right now.
Oh Josefa, it would be so nice if your crystal ball were right and really did brighten our day with a few moments of sunshine. I need the sun so badly.
I was sick in January, and now I’m going back and forth between “not quite sick anymore” and “not really healthy.”
For me, February can only be better than January. But the first birds are already singing in the morning—a sign that spring is on its way.
Get well soon, Petra. Songbirds are always a good sign.
The crystal ball is always right. :-) You know how it goes: When the sun isn’t shining in the sky, it helps to have some sunshine stored up in your heart.
That would be great if your crystal ball were right. Somehow I’m completely drained and terribly tired. My mom is still in the hospital—it’s one drama after another. Most recently, she caught the flu, so she couldn’t come home. At least my dad is being taken care of now, but even there, there are constant upsets and unexpected events due to his dementia. There’s a new mess almost every day. It’s never boring. But it takes a toll on my energy—especially my mental energy.
Iglinz, I hope you can take some time off, even if it’s just for a little while.
It doesn’t do anyone any good if you’re “running on empty.” Think about yourself too, not just other people.
January was a pleasant month—aside from the weather (here in the lowlands, way too much rain and way too mild; we had a pile of snow for one day, which quickly turned into a horrible slush thanks to the rain and warmth)—with some nice encounters and quite a few finished craft projects. We can’t complain about our health either—the cough syrup provided quick relief, and the dentist appointments weren’t as bad as we’d feared! For February, I’m hoping first and foremost for lots of blue skies and sunshine during our ski vacation—and, of course, no broken bones or anything like that—and then that my husband has a good, successful time in South America and that I can put my resolutions into action around the house and with my crafts! By the way: here, the blackbirds are already greeting the day, snowdrops are blooming in the gardens, and in Zurich, the first bushes are already bearing white-pink blossoms!
Wow, Christina, is it already spring over there with blackbirds and blossoms? Here in southern Germany, we can only dream of that. And I also wish everyone who’s not doing so well lots of strength and hope things get better.
Josefa in front of a crystal ball... grin... I can just picture how funny that would be. Over here, that crystal ball would be predicting snow for the next few weeks. ;-)
January was a great month—I finally didn’t buy any yarn and stuck to my “yarn diet” perfectly. And lots of lovely new projects came out of it.
We’re also doing great health-wise, and have been all winter, ever since we started consistently supplying ourselves with sunshine (vitamin D3) from within. Since then, we haven’t had any winter blues or any other signs of illness, which used to be quite different.
Unfortunately, your wonderful crystal ball failed me pretty badly in my case: Last night, I slipped and ended up with a severe, painful muscle strain in my left thigh (déjà vu: almost exactly a year ago, I broke my left elbow in the exact same fall!) The only bummer is: We’re planning to leave for our ski vacation tomorrow, and changing trains at the stations (3 in total) is likely to be a bit uncomfortable in this situation! The good news: Nothing’s broken this time, and it should get better quickly!
Best regards
Christina
P.S. That also answers the question about my weekend—for now, without skiing at least!
Oh dear,
I hope you get well soon.
The crystal ball hasn’t failed—it says you’ll be back on your feet in no time and will make the best of the situation.
oh dear, that doesn’t sound good. Maybe it’ll comfort you a little to know that there are two sides to everything, and that’s surely the case here, too. Maybe it’s actually a good thing you’re not going skiing this time. A fall out there could be even more unpleasant. ;-) Sometimes one thing saves us from another....
I wish you a wonderful weekend anyway. I’m sure you’ll make the best of it.
January was good for me.
Things aren’t going so well professionally. I’ve been doing continuing education through the employment agency since December. So far, it hasn’t done anything for me.
Oh no, and right before ski break. I hope you get well soon, dear Christine, and that you can enjoy the next few days.
Wishing everyone else a lovely weekend too.
I’m staying on the couch today and looking out the window so I don’t miss the moment when the predictions from Josefa's crystal ball come true and the sun finally comes out. Yesterday it was out for five minutes, and I don’t want to miss that.
