at lunchtime today we’re taking the kids out
for Chinese food to celebrate their good report cards, and after that, our youngest has a cello lesson.
We’ll do the grocery shopping today.
Tomorrow we’ll do laundry, tidy up, dust, and maybe clean the windows, depending on
the weather.
On Sunday, we’ll be studying math with our oldest and just relaxing.
This weekend, I’ll be searching the attic for large pieces of leftover yarn for my February leftover yarn project.
My little one wants a nice, warm scarf, but she picked out some thin summer yarn. So now we’re going to check the attic too—I think I have some thin, fluffy yarn stashed away there somewhere that should match the color.
Other than that, we’re invited over to a friend’s house today to check out her new home. I’m bringing a warm, cozy blanket that I made as a housewarming gift.
Tomorrow, I don’t have anything planned. I’ll be doing chores at home, going shopping, and I want to take photos for patterns and finish up the Easter gifts. Yes, Easter is very early this year....
On Sunday, maybe we’ll go skiing or ice skating in the morning. In the afternoon, we’ll just cozy up for a movie at home. I’d like to watch *Jumanji* with the kids. They haven’t seen it yet, and I’ve always really liked the movie.
Today is very relaxed. Maybe I’ll go on tidying up in the basement for a bit later. I’m still looking for my crochet hooks :-)
Tomorrow we want to check out some furniture stores (we’re still missing a few little things), and in the evening friends are coming over, and on Sunday afternoon friends are coming too. Everyone still wants to see our new home, after all.
Today we visited a fantastic exhibition in Zurich about the Nazca culture in ancient Peru. In addition to beautiful clay vessels, there were incredible textiles on display featuring three-dimensional embroidery of small figures that looked as if they were crocheted, knitted, or made with a knitting dolly. Some of them are even shown in animations! Of course, photography is prohibited in the museum—unfortunately!—and there aren’t any postcards of them either. Luckily, though, my husband bought the thick book about the exhibition, so I can marvel at those little human-like figures again and again!
Tomorrow I’m looking after the boys again, and after that, it should be a quiet weekend with time for some handiwork.
Today we’re doing our weekly house cleaning and the weekly grocery shopping.
Then we have to go to the old house to pick up the baptism candles for the three older kids, because tomorrow the little one is finally getting baptized (it hadn’t been possible until now because one grandpa was in the hospital and the other was abroad...and although one grandpa is back in the hospital now, we couldn’t, didn’t want to, and shouldn’t have postponed it again).
After all, Lotti is now 13.5 months old and will be able to walk to the baptismal font all by herself in her crocheted sailor dress...
And then the weekend will be over before we know it...
This morning I’ll be doing housework (as I do every day) and the weekly grocery shopping. This afternoon or evening, I’d like to finish my crocheted sweater, and tomorrow maybe the UFO hat that’s still sitting in a bag. I’d also like to learn how to knit cable patterns...
