Crochet pattern for a sweet little pouch

The perfect project for the weekend, because you can finish it in just a few hours.
The gift pouch is great for many occasions. Wrap a small gift, attach it as an extra to a larger gift, or bring it as a little hostess gift to a party with a piccolo bottle and snacks. It works up fairly quickly.

I have explained everything step by step and in great detail in a 7-page PDF file with lots of pictures. This means even beginners can easily make these little pouches and compare their results. There is also a small crochet school in the appendix.
There is also a 2-page short version without pictures for printing.
The gift pouch is about 17.0 cm wide and 18.0 cm tall.

Materials
  • Catania by Schachenmayr 125m/ 50g, 2 colors, about 55 g total
  • Crochet hook 3.0 mm (or as desired)
  • Sewing needle/darning needle
  • Scissors
What is crocheted
  • Chain stitch
  • Slip stitch
  • Single crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Half double crochet
Have fun!

An ideal weekend project because you can make it from leftover yarn: the crocheted hedgehog couple Anny and Bruno! These two finger puppets are 11 cm tall and are crocheted from leftover cotton yarn (Catania, with a 2.5 mm hook). For the spines, a short fringe yarn is used (e.g. Sheila Soft Mini by Schachenmayr).
Bruno wears a yellow hat and a green gardener’s apron, while Anny wears a yellow dress with green polka dots and a green bow in her hair. Of course, you can also choose different colors for their outfits, depending on what you have at home.
These two make a pretty autumnal decoration for the windowsill and a fun toy for children of all ages.

Why not make yourself a sparkling eye-catcher for your wrist this weekend from an old PET bottle, a rhinestone chain, and some yarn? I’ll show you how you can create these original pieces of jewelry with a little skill.

Here’s the pattern

Thanks to the flexible and lightweight material, the bangles are super comfortable to wear.
Materials used: plastic from PET bottles, cotton (Catania Grande by Schachenmayr), rhinestone chain, jewelry glue.

The bangles are washable at 30 degrees in a laundry net.

You’ll receive a very detailed description as a PDF file with more than 20 step-by-step photos.

These fun reindeer egg cups are a great weekend project :-)! Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

What you’ll need:
  • Approx. 20 g of brown yarn suitable for a 2 mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
  • Leftover light brown yarn (for the antlers), also suitable for a 2 mm hook
  • Leftover red yarn (for the nose), also suitable for a 2 mm hook
  • 2 mm crochet hook
  • 6 mm safety eyes
  • stuffing
  • Scissors, darning needle, stitch markers
Difficulty level: Easy. You should be familiar with the following techniques: making a magic ring, increasing and decreasing single crochet, sewing the different pieces together, single crochet, slip stitches, chain stitches, and half double crochet. The crochet pattern is 18 pages long and includes step-by-step photos showing everything. I also show you in photos how to sew the individual pieces together. I hope you have lots of fun crocheting :-) If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message anytime — I’ll reply as quickly as possible. Best regards, Crocheting-anni

At the beginning of the pattern, I explain in detail how to crochet the bobbles that represent the spikes. Length: 12 pages of crochet instructions with pictures showing everything step by step. I also show you how to sew the individual parts together with pictures. I hope you have lots of fun crocheting :-) If you have any questions, you can send me a message anytime and I’ll reply as quickly as possible. Best regards, Crocheting-anni

It's raining, it's cold—time for cozy hours at home, ideally with a relaxing knitting project. You should also slowly start getting ready for winter. How about an infinity scarf?

Take a look at this one!

It's knitted from sock yarn. It has a special feature: this infinity scarf is a long tube that is then joined at the ends. This means it looks the same all the way around. There is no better or worse side. You can use one color, or two as shown in the picture—that's up to you. The knitting pattern is a simple mesh pattern. The length is also entirely up to you, or simply until the yarn runs out.

You can easily knit a hat in a weekend, and you’ll be able to put it to good use soon.

The hat is knitted from sock yarn. It features an interesting ribbed pattern that’s periodically interrupted by plain-knit stripes. A fairly lightweight design for cool fall days.
The pattern is available in 4 different sizes.

If you’re busy with all sorts of activities over the weekend and want a quick sense of accomplishment in between, you might want to try your hand at knitting a bookmark.

You can find the pattern here.

This bookmark features a lace pattern that’s somewhat reminiscent of leaves. A knitting chart will help. All you need is a small scrap of cotton yarn—about 20 meters should be enough.

P.S. and some background info: Just today I read in the newspaper that the e-book market has leveled off at 30%. But that also means the remaining 70% are reading printed books.

Something cozy and soft that keeps you nice and warm:

You can crochet a drip catcher from leftover yarn for cold season, so your hands are free for other things. Simply place a tissue in the drip catcher.

Or you can use it as a doll hat

Materials:
  • Leftovers of green yarn (various shades), yellow and brown yarn (yardage as desired or depending on what yarn you currently have available)
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle

Have fun making it

A lovely crochet project for the weekend is a loop scarf. Especially now, during the transition from warm to cold weather, it’s nice to have something small that protects you from the wind.

The crochet pattern consists of just one pattern row, making it the ideal project for the sofa.

Any yarn will work; I crocheted mine using 50 g of Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 285 Lace with a yardage of 285 m.
