Whether for adults or children, a poncho like this is comfortable and cozy too:

Crochet pattern for a poncho with a Möbius shawl collar (loop) - easy

(Please click the image to purchase/download)

..and it’s so quick and easy to crochet...

Choose your favorite yarn with a suitable hook size and decide while crocheting how big the poncho should be – you simply stop crocheting whenever you like - that’s flexibility in crocheting.

The poncho and Möbius scarf shown here are made with thick gradient yarn, 100 g – 100 m, and an 8.0 mm crochet hook. Yarn needed for both pieces approx. 700 g for the pieces shown.

The PDF pattern includes the poncho and Möbius scarf and is illustrated, but it is not a crochet course in itself.

These crochet skills are needed:
chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, crocheting in rows, crocheting in rounds.

By the way: with a Möbius scarf, the pattern you make is mirrored, i.e. one horizontal half appears like a right outside, while the second half appears like a wrong-side inside of the pattern. This creates clever effects, depending on how the scarf is draped and how the pattern falls.

Every woman needs
a wonderfully light and comfortable—yet still very warm thanks to the camel hair—poncho in her closet!

The technique is kept simple—but the small cable border adds the finishing touch!
Plus, the snowmen worked in bead technique (which can, of course, be replaced) look lovely and also serve to weigh down the poncho, ensuring it drapes beautifully.

This pattern is designed for sizes 38/40.
However, the included schematic and gauge make it possible to knit any size!

A detailed description guides you through the entire knitting process.

With this wonderfully warm scarf collar, nothing can happen to anyone—man or woman—on cold days...
... and it’s trendy to boot!

The beautiful textured stitch pattern adds stability and a braided structure.
Once you’ve crocheted the pattern repeat, you’ll get the hang of it—
even beginners will enjoy this pattern!

A detailed step-by-step explanation guides you through the crochet pattern.
For clarity, the pattern includes 1 crochet chart.
In addition, a cutting layout with integrated diagram helps you through the crochet process.

When laid out flat, the scarf has a size of about 27 x 96 cm.
However, it can easily be made smaller or larger as needed.
The included template and the gauge will help with that!

And here’s where you’ll find the pattern and more details...

Children like comfortable clothing best. And that definitely includes leggings. These leggings fit the body perfectly thanks to the stitch pattern, whether the child is slim or a bit chubbier. They fit at first with a diaper bundle and the fit remains good later on at kindergarten age, too. Yes, these leggings grow with your child for a while.

In the pattern, we start from size 86–98. However, it can also be expanded very easily for larger children.

All individual steps are explained and supplemented with many photos.
Difficulty level: easy to intermediate

As a beginner, you should have the following basic skills:

  • Knit and purl stitches, and knitting in the round
  • Knitting with a set of double-pointed needles and circular knitting needles
  • Increasing stitches from one stitch (also explained here)
  • Decreases (knitting 2 stitches together)
  • Binding off stitches
  • Changing colors in the round
  • Knitting a double hem cuff, similar to a picot edge (also briefly explained in the pattern)

Here is the knitting pattern for the leggings for toddlers.

These fingerless mitts, or wrist warmers, are very comfortable and also very easy to knit. They can replace gloves, for example, keeping your hands free. I also like to use them around the house when I’m sitting at the computer.

The pattern is also very easy for beginners to make. The pattern contains a detailed description including photos.

You should have these basic skills:

  • Knit and purl stitches, and knitting in the round
  • Knitting with a set of double-pointed needles
  • Binding off stitches
  • Changing colors in the round
  • Knitting slipped stitches (also explained here with photos)

These two pinafore dresses are very comfortable and also easy for beginners to knit.

1. The baby pinafore dress that grows with your child for at least 1 year, from 6–18 months

2. The convertible pinafore skirt for toddlers from 1.5 to 5 years

Both pinafore dresses are very easy for beginners with basic skills to make. Every step is explained in the pattern and supplemented with lots of detailed photos.

For both pinafore dresses, they are knitted in one piece from the bottom up and have no seams. And they can be worn in both summer and winter.

Here’s the knitting pattern for the baby pinafore dress (the blue one above).

This tunic with its vibrant colored stripes is very comfortable and perfect for any season.

It’s very easy to knit, as each step is explained in detail and accompanied by photos. The tunic is knitted in one piece from the bottom up and has almost no seams—just one at the top of the shoulder. That makes it very comfortable to knit as well.

The following basic skills are required:

  • knit and purl stitches
  • knitting a yarn over
  • knitting in the round
  • bind off stitches
  • decreasing stitches to the right and left
  • Increasing stitches on the side (there’s a video tip linked here)
  • Picking up stitches to continue knitting (here, the edging at the V-neck)
  • Sewing the knitted pieces together (at the shoulder and under the arm)
  • Changing colors (for the stripes)
  • Crocheting slip stitches

This colorful sweater for toddlers (sizes 86–98) is super comfortable, and the button placket also makes it super easy to pull over the head. Knitting it is also very straightforward, because it is knitted from the bottom up in one piece. There are seams only at the top of the shoulder.

Difficulty level: intermediate

The pullover can also be made by beginners who have the following basic skills:

  • knit knit and purl stitches
  • knit twisted knit stitches
  • make a yarn over (you need this for the buttonhole)
  • increase stitches (the different methods are described)
  • increase stitches
  • bind off stitches
  • Kitchener stitch for knit stitches (for joining at the shoulder)
  • color changes (for the stripes)
  • embroidering knit stitches onto knitted pieces
  • picking up stitches for knitting on (here, the sleeve)

The knitting pattern includes all individual steps and many additional detailed photos.

Elegantly Warm

When it gets colder, we need a quick throw-on. All the better if it’s beautiful, too.

The Woncho flatters the wearer, concealing any unwanted curves when necessary or highlighting her unique beauty.

Girls and moms love the comfortable Woncho, which skillfully combines the best of a vest and a poncho.

Warm cover-ups often add unnecessary bulk at the hips. The Woncho makes them disappear!

Get the beginner-friendly crochet pattern for the Star Woncho here and make it in any size you like.
