Knitting Pattern for Hooded Sweater / Dress | Relief Dress CARPE DIEM

Product description

Revised Edition 2026 – Now Available in Extended Sizes
Some designs stay with us for years.
This one was my very first paid pattern – and that is exactly why it holds a special place in my heart.

In 2026, “Carpe Diem” returns as a complete designer revision.

Not just visually refined.
But technically recalculated, structurally optimized, and expanded to include additional sizes.
This dress lives through its sculptural relief textures that flow harmoniously across the entire garment. Different textured panels alternate to create a feminine silhouette – figure-shaping, yet never restrictive.
The hood adds a sporty-elegant touch, making the design versatile:
wear it as a long sweater, a knitted dress, or styled effortlessly with leggings.

What’s new in the 2026 Edition:

  • Extended size range
  • Completely recalculated construction
  • Professionally prepared, large-scale knitting charts (separate PDF)
  • Clearly structured section guidance
  • Refined pattern logic

And something truly special: Includes a Pattern Collection & Color-Structured Charts
All ten relief stitch patterns used in the dress are additionally provided:

  • individually presented
  • fully written out (row by row)
  • and displayed separately as knitting charts

The charts have been intentionally color-structured to enhance readability.
Different pattern sections are clearly separated, repeats are visually supported, and pattern multiples are distinctly marked.

This allows for calm, focused knitting – even when working through more complex stitch sequences.

You are not just receiving a dress pattern –
but a structured stitch collection you can reuse for your own projects.
Whether for sweaters, cushions, scarves, or skirts – the stitch patterns are modular and versatile.

This makes the 2026 revision a true designer edition.

Construction & Style
The dress is worked in classic separate pieces and sewn together.
The relief textures create depth and a dynamic surface while maintaining a clear and logical stitch structure.
The silhouette is fitted and can be individually adjusted through size selection and gauge control.

And one thing is especially important to me:
Style knows no size.
This design flatters every silhouette – because it works with structure, not against it.

Skill Level
Advanced beginner to intermediate.
You should be confident working knit and purl stitches and enjoy following structured stitch patterns.

You will receive:

  • A detailed written pattern (35 pages total)
  • A separate PDF with large-scale knitting charts (all sizes included)
  • Clear sizing information
  • Structured section guidance from cast-on to finishing

This dress is more than a pattern.
It is a piece of my design journey – reimagined for 2026.
