Dear users, dear authors,
Beginners aren’t the only ones who enjoy potholder patterns that can be made with leftover yarn and basic skills. In contrast, however, we also have many potholder models in the shop that require a little more skill, but are great decorative highlights.
Start crafting now.

@Authors,
2-3 patterns are enough.
Don’t forget the link and image, as well as the usual info.

Autumn is here — and with it, gingerbread season! Of course, that means the kitchen decor has to match, too!
These gingerbread pot holders are very easy for beginners to make. They’re quite large, crocheted in two layers, and open at the bottom so you can also slip a hand inside. You can add your own personal message to the hearts and decorate them however you like. That makes them a very personal gift!

You can never have enough potholders. This way you can decorate the kitchen to match the occasion and the season. When it gets even more wintry, the snowman and snowwoman are a fun potholder idea! They are crocheted mainly from circles, making them absolutely suitable for beginners. A fun little gift to bring along or a Secret Santa gift!
You can find the pattern here!

In keeping with the upcoming spooky season, I have a ghost pot holder for you here. It’s double-knitted and therefore not suitable for beginners. You should have a bit of experience with this technique.
You’ll need cotton yarn in two different colors. I’d recommend using knitting needles that are slightly thinner than those suggested for your yarn. The ghost is shown in a knitting chart.

A practical little helper, cute decoration, a quick gift —that's all hidden in this extravagant potholder.
It is quick and easy to crochet, uses very little material ... ideal for making room in your leftover yarn box.

Match the colors to your kitchen, or crochet it in bright, bold colors....Theodor looks great in any color combination.

The pattern is very detailed with lots of step-by-step pictures and that makes Theodor not a shy bird, even for beginners .
All you need is a little leftover yarn, the right crochet hook, and a few googly eyes so Theodor can look cheeky and cheerful out into the world.
Get cheeky Theo here

Every beginning is hard—everyone probably knows that saying.

95% of crochet beginners start with a potholder to practice the stitches they’ve learned... In most cases it’s a pretty square, and anyone who dares adds different colors too.
But does it always have to be that square potholder ... that usually disappears somewhere into oblivion?

Some time ago, one of my course participants asked me this question... and what can I say.... I thought about it briefly and told her..."No".

And that’s how Hedwig came to be... A potholder that won’t disappear into oblivion: practical, decorative, and even suitable as a gift. A beginner piece you can make an impression with.

It uses very little material, so even small amounts of leftover yarn are enough to bring Hedwig to life,
The detailed 13-page pattern shows you how. Every step is explained and illustrated with numerous step-by-step pictures. This way you’ll quickly achieve a good result.

What you need:
  • Leftover yarn of any type and color
  • Crochet hook 4.0

Potholder “As green as can be” - Tunisian crochet - easy

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A touch of fresh spring green as kitchen decor or for real use as a potholder made of 100% cotton – a useful little gift for all kinds of occasions.

Both the PDF pattern for the potholder and the pattern for the crochet flower(s) are illustrated step by step.

    Material
    :
    For 1 standard-size potholder, 21 cm x 21 cm:
    50 g light green + 50 g dark green crochet yarn made of 100% cotton/plant fiber for heat resistance, e.g. Schoeller+Stahl Record 210, 50 g - 90 m, according to the label 16 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm), so 50 g per color for the Tunisian crochet hook up to max. size 4.5.

For the flower(s), leftover cotton yarn is enough, e.g. Catania (Schachenmayr) or Limone (Schoeller+Stahl) for crochet hook size 2.5 - 3.5.

Note: heat-resistant cotton yarn (= potholder yarn) is only lightly twisted and therefore difficult to crochet with, especially for beginners, because the yarn splits a lot. So if heat resistance is not that important to you, for example if you won’t be placing a hot pot on the potholder, you can also crochet with a cotton blend yarn, e.g. Pantino by Schoeller+Stahl.

In addition, we need a tape measure, scissors, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends

General crochet knowledge is sufficient; the Tunisian crochet technique is explained with pictures.
