I think these little pouches look absolutely stunning in red. But they probably look just as great in any other color, too. All you need is a scrap of sock yarn (about 60 - 70m), a 3mm set of double-pointed needles, and you’re ready to go. They knit up very quickly, and the pattern is really simple.

And here’s another little bag made from sock yarn scraps—though I’d recommend using red yarn for the hearts :-)

You can find the pattern here.

This little bag is also quick to knit, and there’s a knitting chart for the hearts. These little bags are perfect for wrapping small gifts.

Crochet patterns for red leftover yarn

Santa Claus wears red, as you can tell from the laundry. Even he has laundry day sometimes, so he puts money in the gift sack instead of packages.

With this original money gift wrapping, you'll make twice the impression, because after the sack has been emptied, everything can still be used as decoration.

Quick to make from leftover yarn, even for beginners, and a lovely gift idea for Christmas or St. Nicholas Day.

Click here for details & pattern

To make it, you need:
  • white, red, black, and brown cotton yarn (I used up my leftovers of gründl Cotton Quick uni)
  • plush yarn in white and green
  • crochet hooks in sizes 2.5 and 5
  • picture frame size 18 x 24 cm (available cheaply at a Scandinavian furniture store)
  • scissors, sewing needle, pins
  • possibly glue or a hot glue gun
You will crochet:
  • chain stitches
  • slip stitches
  • single crochet stitches
  • half double crochet stitches
  • double crochet stitches

Jars as gift wrapping

Leftover yarn and old jars are enough to quickly make a slightly different kind of gift wrapping.

Click here for details & pattern

To make these little gifts, you need:
  • jars
  • leftover yarn
  • crochet hook
crocheted in spiral rounds with
  • single crochet stitches
  • slip stitches
  • chain stitches
  • double crochet stitches

Both patterns are written without abbreviations. The finished products may be sold.

The crocheted jars "Lichterzauber" are wonderfully suited for using up leftover yarn. They make lovely décor for your home and garden, can be fitted with an LED tealight or a small string of lights, and then glow in the colors of the yarn.

They are also wonderful as gifts.

They are also a great beginner project. The pattern includes many photos of the individual steps and detailed step-by-step explanations.

Only standard stitches are used: chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, and double crochet.

They were crocheted with Catania by Schachenmayr. But you can also use any other cotton yarn for hook size 3.

--> You can find the crochet pattern here: Crochet lanterns "Lichterzauber"

The pattern for "Lichterzauber" is also available in an affordable value set. It also includes the pattern for the lantern "Lichterschein" and the lanterns "Sommerfreude". Compared to buying the individual patterns, you save over 25%.

With just 15 g of sock yarn and a set of double-pointed needles in size 2 or 2.5 you can knit this beautiful, elegant evening gown. To add a touch of glamour, I also used a fine Lurex thread for the red dress. The doll’s mom will be delighted and will probably want one in pink, blue, and yellow too. It’s really quick to knit and looks fantastic.

The knitting pattern is also suitable for knitting beginners who already know how to knit with a set of double-pointed needles or would like to learn. Over 11 pages, I explain and show step by step how it is knitted. We only use knit and purl stitches.

I hope you enjoy knitting, playing, and giving it as a gift - yours, "Ina strickt"Click here to go directly to the pattern!

I also have a red doll dress available for the crochet fans. This one is part of the “Chic and Sexy” doll clothing series. All models are figure-hugging and modern.

The set includes 6 crochet patterns and 1 sewing pattern, so you can mix and match however you like:
  • Corset top (can be combined with pants or a skirt)
  • Short corset dress with halter neck
  • Short, tight, strapless bustier dress
  • Long, tight dress
  • Elegant hat with a wide brim
  • Clutch (short or long handle possible)
  • Petticoat (hand-sewing pattern, so the skirt has more volume)
The crochet patterns are very suitable for crochet beginners, since I describe everything in great detail and with step-by-step photos
. For the more experienced among you, I have included a crochet chart for each model. Material:
  • Catania Fine (yardage 165 g/50 m) and
  • crochet hooks sizes 2 and 2.5.
I hope you enjoy the patterns!

Best regards from Ina

Up to children's shoe size 26, you only need 100 g of felting wool for these felt moccasins. They knit up quickly, and the edging is crocheted. The washing machine takes care of the felting. Then just add a non-slip rubber coating to the sole, and a pair of super-comfy, soft, warm, and guaranteed one-of-a-kind slippers for your child or grandchild is ready. Surely no other child at daycare will have bright red ones like these. You'll probably often be asked about these lovely slippers and may then get to make some for their friends, too. They're also so easy to tuck into a backpack when you're traveling or invited somewhere.

I hope you have lots of fun with this project.

Warm regards from Ina

The poinsettia measures about 20 cm tall and 16 cm in diameter when potted (depending on the yarn and hook size). It requires very little yarn, so you can use up leftover yarn as well.

  • Yarn in red and green
  • Crochet hook sizes 2–3.5 (depending on yarn thickness)
  • Wire for wrapping
  • Wire for securing, approx. 10 cm

You can never have enough wrist warmers!

Perfect for the transitional season, and the high-quality alpaca yarn provides warmth when it’s cooler or keeps you comfortable when it gets warmer!

Of course, other yarn types are also suitable for using up leftover yarn!

And here’s the pattern with more details...
