Crochet Scarf/Cowl & Headband 'Playful' in a simple shell pattern

The scarf can also be sewn together and worn as a cowl (wrapped twice around the neck), basically in any season. Add the matching hairband and you’ve got a pretty (gift) set.

Experienced crocheters can crochet both quickly in one weekend.

I made the set with summery cotton yarn, here using Schachenmayr Cotton Bamboo, 50% cotton / 50% viscose,50 g – 120 m, needle/hook size according to the label 3 - 4, crochet hook size 4.0 used here; gauge according to the label 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm. Please choose alternative yarns (e.g., Merino Extrafine 120 by Schachenmayr) according to the information above.

Yarn required / finished measurements:

• 150 g for the scarf/cowl: approx. 14 cm x 140 cm – length variable
• 50 g for the headband - size variable

The 8-page PDF pattern includes photos, but requires the following basic crochet skills: chain stitches, double crochet, single crochet, crocheting in rows.
A link with explanations of the basic skills is included in the PDF.

Difficulty level: easy – also suitable for experienced beginners.

Aren’t these baby booties for 0–3 months adorable? These booties are knitted with just two needles—no juggling several needles, and it’s much more fun. You start with the sole. Work your way up from the bottom in four stages. Don’t they look cool? Materials needed: 30 g white yarn, 30 g purple yarn or light blue; I used Gründli Baby uni. A scrap of black yarn and size 3 needles. I used Gründl Baby uni. You’ll be knitting in ribbing, and you’ll need to know how to pick up stitches from the edge. You’ll need to knit a single hole for the drawstring, but that’s just a yarn over and is explained very clearly.

Elephant Egg Cozies

Brighten up your breakfast table with these truly unique and original elephant egg cozies! They’re absolute eye-catchers and turn every breakfast into an experience. They’re very quick to crochet and make great gifts. The pattern is also perfect for crochet beginners. You should know how to do the following:

• How to make a magic ring and crochet in spiral rounds
• How to work single crochet stitches
• Sewing the individual pieces together
• So you should have a good grasp of the basics of crocheting ;-)

What you’ll need:

• Approx. 15g of yarn (preferably 100% cotton, which will make the egg cozies nice and sturdy) in light blue or gray, depending on what color you want your elephant to be. The yarn should be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook
• Leftover yarn in white or cream for the tusks. These scraps should be suitable for a 2mm crochet hook
• 3mm and 2mm crochet hooks
• Googly eyes and superglue
• Scissors and a darning needle
• A stitch marker

This scarf is sky blue and is made using both knitting and crochet. Of course, you’re welcome to use other colors as well.
The long section is knitted lengthwise in a drop-stitch pattern, and the fringed ends are crocheted on afterward. It’s a pretty scarf even without the ends, but with them, it gives off a bit of a hippie-boho feel.
It’s knitted using thick cotton yarn (69 m per 50 g) with 5 mm knitting needles, which guarantees a quick sense of accomplishment. If you’d like to crochet as well, you’ll also need a suitable crochet hook.

In keeping with the current weather, I also have this hat featuring a sky-blue winter sky to offer. It’s knitted, with the two-color pattern shown in a knitting chart.
For this, you’ll need yarn in two different colors—preferably white and blue—with a yardage of about 150m per 50g, and a set of 3.5mm double-pointed needles or a circular needle.

Crochet Pattern: “Spring Morning” Cardigan/Vest, Sizes S–XL



If you want to try a simple yet unique crochet stitch, this vest is a must-try. Aside from the border, there are only two basic stitches. The joined treble crochets are explained in detail with pictures, so even beginners can easily follow along.

Sky blue, ocean blue, and a vibrant splash of red: that’s the long, triangular shawl HAMBURG AHOI. It’s knitted in garter stitch from tip to tip and can be adjusted to any size you like.
