Shawl Hamburg Ahoi knitting pattern

Blue like the sea, red like our minicipal coat and white bobbles that symbolize our notorious drizzle – that's the shawl HAMBURG AHOI. The maritime colours are a favorite in my city of Hamburg, due to the fact that it's one of the biggest ports in the world. Wrap yourself into a snuggly warm shawl and face the storms!
HAMBURG AHOI is knitted sideways, so the size is completely up to you – especially made of thinner wool HAMBURG AHOI makes a stunning shawlette.

Original wool: I used "Merino 300" from “bunte wolle”. Annett is a seasoned dyer with a special knack for all shades of blue.

The pattern can be altered for other yarns and yardages. In my pattern you will find instructions how to do it (it's pretty simple). As the shawl is knitted sideways, you decide on the size only shortly before you come to the final tip. You will need around 330 to 400 g of wool, depending on the yardage.
