this thread has room for mermaid amigurumi and everything big and little girls need for their mermaid dreams. Owls in all variations and sizes can also be presented or discovered here.

In addition, we have gathered the topics unicorn, pony, horse, and Pegasus (= winged horse from ancient mythology) here for you, with matching patterns. A unicorn with wings is not actually a Pegasus, but in the handmade crafts area, there’s no need to be too strict about it.

• 100 g blended yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic) 100m/50g (e.g. Forever by Supergarne) in white

• leftover cotton yarn 125m/50g in pink and yellow

Brighten up your breakfast table with these cute unicorn egg cups. The unicorn egg cups will put a smile on your face first thing in the morning. They make great gifts and are real eye-catchers :-) What you’ll need:

• Approx. 20g of white yarn, suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. I used 100% cotton, which makes the egg cup nice and sturdy.
• Scraps of pink yarn (for the unicorn’s mouth), also suitable for a 3mm hook

• Scraps of purple or yellow/gold yarn, suitable for a 2mm hook (for the horn)

Difficulty level: Easy—you should be familiar with the basic crochet techniques (making a magic ring, crocheting in spiral rounds, single crochet, sewing on the individual pieces...). The pattern uses only single crochet stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners.

Amy is waiting to be crocheted by you!! This sweet unicorn girl is approx. 17 cm tall and is a great cuddle buddy! What you need:

• A 3 mm, 2 mm, and 6 mm crochet hook, approx. 70 g craft yarn (cotton) in white for the unicorn's body, head, and legs; approx. 8 g craft yarn in pink for the nose and hooves. Leftover yarn in yellow (suitable for a 2 mm crochet hook size) for the horn. For the mane and tail, 3 colors of your choice; leftover yarn is enough for these. Each yarn should be suitable for a 3 mm crochet hook size.
• A darning needle, possibly pins, so you can sew on the individual limbs more precisely at the end.
• Stuffing / craft stuffing

This little purple unicorn (made with the specified yarn—Catania) is about 12 cm tall and very easy to crochet. This is a great way to use up your leftover purple yarn, though you can, of course, use any other yarn—in which case it may turn out larger or smaller.

The following stitches are used for the hat: knit stitch and purl stitch.
Materials:
approx. 50 g Rowan Pure Wool 4-ply (50 g/160 m) or Lana Grossa Cool Wool Merino (100% merino, 50 g/160 m), size 3 circular needles, 2 wooden beads, darning needle.
Size:
Head circumference 36–40 cm, 42–46 cm, 48–52 cm

It might be a bit unusual, but it’s already very popular among my family and friends—my unicorn sponge  made from Creative Bubble yarn by Rico Design. 

It’s easy for beginners to make, comes with a pattern that explains every row and round, and will awaken the fairy or princess in you while you’re doing the dishes. It really works! ;-)

Mother Owl and Babies

The yarn used here is cotton yarn, such as Schachenmayr Catania, Gründl Cotton Quick Uni, Katja Capri, or Limone by Schöller & Stahl. You can use any cotton yarn with a length of 125 m per 50 g, or of course your favorite yarn. The size may vary depending on the type and thickness of the yarn. The mother owl is approximately 23 cm tall, and the baby is approximately 14 cm tall. You’ll also need the following basic materials:

• Crochet hooks in size 2.0
• stuffing
• Scissors
• Stitch markers and a row counter
• White sewing thread
• Hot glue gun
• Optional: a pair of needle-nose pliers to help you pull the needle through the fabric more easily.
• 2 each of 12 mm and 10 mm black half-beads

The pattern is 36 pages long and includes plenty of pictures that will guide you step by step to success. Even if you’re new to crocheting, don’t be afraid to give it a try. I’ll walk you through the pattern row by row. 

Quick to knit, even for beginners, are these owl slippers. The eyes and beak are crocheted with single crochet stitches. The yarn used here had a length of 62 m per 50 g.
The pattern is written for sizes 24 - 34.
You will also need: 2 size 5 knitting needles, size 3.5 - 4 crochet hook, leftover yarn for the eyes and pupils, as well as 2 buttons for the pupils.
