Dear users, dear authors,
there are patterns that you simply have to have and make yourself.
There’s no way around it, because these patterns are so well-known and popular that you have to have made them yourself to be able to join the conversation.
Here in this thread you can get a first overview; you’ll find more suitable patterns among the bestsellers on Crazypatterns.

@Autoren,
please only present patterns here that have at least 100 sales.

Link, image and text as well as material info, technique info, difficulty level info and information about what makes the pattern special must be included.

Please really only present patterns that have at least 100 sales.

My classics and also my personal favorites....

The Othello family :-)
Looks like the kids have pounced on Mom and Dad. A fluffy family to love.

https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/17775/haekelanleitung-schnuffelhund-othello

The large dog is crocheted with acrylic (approx. 210g - 50g/133m) and the little ones with cotton yarn (approx. 95g - 100g/530m), chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet. Increases and decreases, and then Othello is actually quick to crochet. Every amigurumi lover is sure to have some stuffing, a long blunt needle, and you can either use teddy bear eyes or embroider them on. From 50 cm (standing) to 23 cm...or somewhere in between if you use different yarn.
From beginner to pro....everyone loves Othello :-)

For all cat fans and dog lovers. A cute way to use up leftover yarn. As a keychain or bag charm.
10 - 20 g leftover wool/yarn, the matching crochet hook (2-3), some stuffing and, if desired, two small eyes if you don’t want to embroider them on. Chain stitches, single crochet, increases and decreases. Then the charm is pretty much finished :-) Anyone who has crocheted now and then will enjoy making the cat and/or the dog.

A favorite in every child’s room. Cuddly friend by day, protector by night. Emil, the little hero to love :-)
Approx. 120 g wool, 1 hook, stuffing and 2 eyes. Single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet. Anyone who has crocheted an amigurumi now and then will have no trouble with Emil.
Get started right away—the delighted children’s eyes will thank you.

Have fun crocheting :-)

Who wouldn’t want to go to bed with such a cute little sheep? Its eyes are already closed, and it’s just humming a little lullaby to itself.
You can add a music box to the lamb’s belly; if you use the suggested fluffy yarn, it will play your very own favorite melody.
The little sheep is very easy to crochet because only single crochet stitches are used. But you should perhaps have worked with fluffy yarn before. Otherwise, any other yarn will work too. The size of the lamb will then depend on its thickness.
You can find the pattern here.

A classic among shawls for beginner knitters is the Magnolia Shawl.

It’s made with a gradient yarn cake, worked in garter stitch (both right-side and wrong-side rows are knit stitches), knitted from top to bottom, with increases on both sides and in the center, a neat edge finish, loosely cast off—and you’ve got a beautiful, large, cozy shawl.

The shawl’s appeal lies in its simplicity and the yarn’s color gradient. The pattern is also great for using up leftover yarn. There are no limits to your creativity. You can find exactly what you need to make this project here . If you still have questions, I’m happy to help.

And the best part is, until March 31, there’s a 30% discount on many patterns in my shop. Be sure to stop by.

Best regards,

Christa

Baby Traditional Knit Cardigan Size 50/56, including gauge conversion chart

(Click the image to purchase/download)

...THE classic traditional style in miniature...
For this easy-to-knit baby traditional cardigan, you’ll need approx. 100 g of yarn with approx. 150 m per 50 g, e.g. Zimba Top by Schoeller+Stahl in classic traditional grey, plus 50 g (or leftover yarn) of Regia 4-ply in traditional green for the edging, size 3.0 knitting needles and, if needed, a size 3–3.5 crochet hook for the decorative foundation chain on the placket.

  • The PDF pattern contains 15 images.

  • You’ll also receive an Excel spreadsheet to quickly convert your gauge to your desired size (applicable to all knitted/crocheted pieces). This requires a spreadsheet program such as Excel or LibreOffice (available as a free download online).

Basic knitting skills are required (i.e. they are not illustrated).

Links and tips for learning to knit and crochet can be found on my website https://swollkoerberl.jimdo.com/ under the “Free Downloads and Links” section.

Required knitting skills: long-tail cast-on, knit stitches, bind off, increase stitches (from the strand between stitches), yarn over (for the buttonholes), knit 2 stitches together.

By the way: This jacket can also be knitted as a vest without sleeves (in that case, crochet around the armholes once in green using single crochet stitches).

Conversion Table for Yarn Quantity, Alternative Yarn for Knitting and Crochet

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This is an Excel spreadsheet for converting a yarn quantity from the “original yarn” to an “alternative yarn” of your choice.

Example:
The original yarn specified in your pattern has a yardage of 85 m per 50 g. According to the instructions there, you need 600 g of this “original yarn” for your size. But you would like to make your item in a different yarn (= alternative yarn). This yarn you have chosen has a yardage of 70 m per 50 g skein. You enter this information into the Excel spreadsheet and immediately receive the required quantity of your chosen yarn in skeins and grams.

A gauge swatch is always advisable. To determine the number of stitches needed for your individual knitted piece, as a bonus the simple version of my Excel conversion table for your gauge is included.

Technical note:
My Excel spreadsheets are based on calculated formulas and therefore require a spreadsheet program to open them, such as Excel or a free program available for download on the internet, such as LibreOffice. (The calculations would not work in PDF format.)
Then the file can be opened with a double-click.

Sometimes the white input fields in Excel spreadsheets cannot be changed, and the message “Protected View” appears at the top of the screen — then please click “Enable Editing”.

Wishing you lots of fun with all your projects.

Knitted Poncho/Stole, Featherlight - Very Easy

Ideal for the transitional seasons and for taking along (on trips)

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

This is a brief PDF pattern for a featherlight and very easy-to-knit poncho in one size made from just 100 g of KidSilk (Austermann). The pattern includes the preview image.

These basic knitting skills are enough:
casting on stitches, edge stitch (your favorite edge stitch), knit and purl stitches, bind off.
You’ll find links and tips for learning to knit and crochet on my website https://swollkoerberl.jimdo.com/      under the section “Free Downloads and Links.”

By the way: The poncho can also be knitted nicely as a warm outdoor poncho with thick yarn, 100 g - 100 m, with needle size 8.0. Required amount of yarn approx. 700 g. The stitch count always depends on your individual gauge. A new printable PDF table for looking up the corresponding stitch count, as well as further calculation aids, is available here (click me).

Schwierigkeitsgrad mittel.

A real little highlight in springtime are these pretty egg cozies "Daffodils", which will add a few lovely splashes of color to your breakfast table.

For these egg cozies, you will need approx. 20g cotton yarn (yardage approx. 125m/ 50g) in fresh spring colors and a size 3.5 mm crochet hook.

The crochet pattern is suitable for somewhat more experienced crocheters, since the following stitches are used here: magic ring, chain stitches, single crochet, slip stitches, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet and double treble crochet, as well as a picot (brief description included)

And here is where you can find the pattern >>> I hope you have lots of fun making them :-D
