Expectations for knights used to be quite high. He was expected to be a warrior, a representative of the Church, and at the same time a protector of widows and orphans—on top of that, he had to be educated and socially competent, a
gentleman in every respect. Now you can crochet one yourself:

You’ll need:
  • 50 g cotton yarn, 125 m/50 g, gray
  • 50 g cotton yarn, 125 m/50 g, red
  • 20 g cotton yarn, 125 m/50 g, natural
  • Scraps of cotton yarn in black and brown
  • 10 mm safety eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Crochet hooks sizes 3.0 and 4.0
You shouldn’t be absolute beginners; ideally, you’ve already crocheted one or two amigurumi.Click here for the pattern

This is Dora, a little grasshopper lady. This little bug is quite the busy bee in her skirt. This pattern isn’t necessarily suitable for beginners.
Doesn’t she look cute? Dora is really looking forward to the warm months of the year, because then she can finally hop across the meadows again. I’ve explained everything step by step in a 14-page PDF pattern, complete with pictures. Dora measures about 25 cm when sitting and about 35 cm when standing. Materials
  • Catania yarn by Schachenmayr (plenty of green—about 5 skeins; a little lilac, pink, and black)
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • 2 cartoon eyes (crocheted eyes or other safety eyes would also work)
  • stuffing
  • Sewing needle
  • Decorative flower for the hat
  • stitch marker
  • Scissors
What to crochet
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Slip stitches
  • Increases and decreases
  • Crocheting in rounds
  • Half double crochet
  • Double crochet
Crochet Pattern: Dora the Grasshopper Lady

Have fun! Yours, Doreen.
