Ponchos are always on trend.

With the wonderful knitted poncho "Siria," you can knit yourself a very chic accessory that is just right for spring.
With bulky yarn and large needles, the poncho is finished quickly.

It is knitted as a large rectangle, then two sides are crocheted together. Finally, fringes are knotted onto the newly created edge.

Materials needed

  • approx. 350 grams of MyBoshi “Flow” or another yarn in a similar weight (approx. 900 meters of yarn)
  • size 7 knitting needles
  • 2 stitch markers
  • size 7 crochet hook
  • scissors
The pattern is 10 pages long and includes written instructions as well as charts, a schematic drawing, and a photo tutorial for the horizontal rib pattern.

Difficulty level: intermediate.

In my shop, lightweight yarns, such as mohair, are in very high demand, so I have various patterns for “lightweights” in my Shop, including this one:

Cardigan/Knitted Jacket Gita - sizes 36 to 42 One Size

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

A knitted lightweight piece for all seasons – whether worn over or under – simple and with an eye-catching collar area. Both patterns used are absolutely easy (only knit and purl stitches). The collar shaping requires a little attention. Unlike the “Margit” model, the sleeves are knitted with a sleeve cap. The length is variable.

The illustrated PDF pattern with stitch- and row-by-row instructions is based on a gauge of approx. 14.5 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 knitting needles. Because of the relaxed shape and stretchiness of the jacket, one stitch more or less is not so decisive. So it’s no problem if 14 or 15 sts = approx. 10 cm. If there are larger gauge differences, please choose a larger or smaller needle size. The pattern does not include a knitting course, but it does include corresponding link tips.

We need
225 g KidSilk from Austermann, color 40 Emerald, 75% kid mohair, 25% silk, information according to the ball band:
Nd. 3 – 4, 18 sts x 26 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm, hand wash, 25 g – 225 m yardage;
Alternative yarns: e.g. Kid-Seta (Schulana) or Kid Mohair or KidSilk (Adriafil) – each in the same quantity for the total back length knitted here of approx. 71 cm. This material is knitted with a double
strand.
You can also use yarns such as Creative Melange chunky (Rico), if the ball bands indicate a gauge of approx. 14 sts = approx. 10 cm with size 6.0 needles. In that case, knit with a single strand and plan for approx. 100 g more yarn (because of the jacket length and collar) than recommended on the ball band.
Used here: size 6.0 knitting needles, pins, measuring tape, yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors, stitch marker, possibly a row counter.

A big color theme this year: GREENERY! Green is good for the eyes and the soul, green is hope, green is calming and puts you in a positive mood—who knows, maybe that’s why it’s my favorite color!? Here are 2 knitting pattern suggestions for more experienced knitters from my pen (or rather, knitting needle):

Fluffy-soft, airy-light, delicate and springlike green—that’s Mohair Cardigan AMÉLIE! Knitted in an airy lace pattern with 3.5 mm needles, it weighs just 100 g in the smallest size! And for anyone who prefers less green: mohair-silk yarn is available from several manufacturers in many wonderful colors, so there’s something for everyone!
To the knitting pattern for sizes 36–44, this way:
Cardigan AMELIE

A smaller 1-skein project for everyone who likes to finish quickly: the CLAÎRE wrist warmers with a Celtic cable pattern seem to have sprung straight from the (equally green) Scottish Highlands and give cold hands no chance!

Here is the knitting pattern for them:
CLAÎRE Wrist Warmers

Happy knitting,
Annette
