A whole owl family is fluttering onto your sofa! The Shuhuu family is knitted; the rounded shape with the interesting striped pattern is created with short rows. If you don’t yet know how to knit short rows, you’ll learn with my pattern—and you’re sure to love the technique because it’s so versatile!

Have fun with the Shuhuus, wishes your Steffi

A flying owl adorns the back of the white jacket, which strongly resembles a landscape buried under snow. The jacket is a one-size model that can also be worn by people with a fuller figure.

As an owl lover, you’ve probably already got quite a few owls in your collection. But you’re definitely still missing this one. May I introduce: the Yoga Owl.
With her, her head is in harmony with her plumage. Her favorite exercise is the well-known lotus position, which she has perfected. Need some positive energy? Then get her for yourself.

Materials needed:
  • polyacrylic yarn in the colors of your choice
  • 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • sewing needle
  • two 10 mm safety eyes, or buttons as a substitute
  • stuffing
Go to the pattern.

Or would you prefer something practical with an owl theme?
With this small chip pouch in an owl design, you’ll always have your shopping cart token, or even a bit more change, close at hand. It also decorates any bag, making it not only practical but also eye-catching.
And another advantage: with the illustrated crochet pattern, you can also crochet an appliqué or an owl charm at the same time. So it’s a 3-in-1 package :)

You only need approx. 15–20 grams of yarn in the colors of your choice, a suitable crochet hook, possibly a few decorative beads, and a key ring.

Here’s the pattern.

Best regards, Steffi

Attention, owl fans :-)

Brand new in my shop: this “Shadow Owl” shoulder bag with a keychain and crocheted lining. It’s definitely an eye-catcher.

A wonderful gift for every owl fan! - The Enni owl pouch!

The crochet pattern is 17 pages long and contains over 70 photos; everything is explained step by step and is easy to crochet, so it is also well suited for beginners - however, knowledge of the crochet techniques listed below should be present, as the pattern does not include an explanation of the basics of crocheting.

The pouch is also wonderful for using up leftover yarn - in total, approx. 100 g of cotton yarn is used.

Dimensions (without strap):
  • Height: 16 cm
  • Width: 19 cm
Materials needed: a little more than 100 g of cotton yarn (115 m per 50 g) - for the orange
version, the distribution among the individual colors is as follows:
  • 55 g color 1 (bag, eyes, strap, wings) – here peach
  • 33 g color 2 (bag, eyes, strap)– here orange
  • 10 g color 3 (belly)– here light green
  • 3 g color 4 (wings)– here light blue
  • 5 g white (eyes)
  • 2 g black (eyes)
  • 2 g yellow (beak)1 snap fastener for closing the bag (alternatively also
a Velcro dot or similar) – but it can also be omitted
Crochet hook no. 3 or 3.5
Darning needle, straight pins, sewing needle
Skills:
  • Magic Ring/magic ring
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet, incl. increases and decreases
  • slip stitches
  • half double crochet
  • double crochet, incl. increases and decreases
  • standing double crochet stitches (alternatively, 2 or 3 ch can also be used, but it
doesn’t look as nice) – YouTube has good videos on this, keyword "standing double crochet stitches"

My owl is a St. Martin's lantern. It is nicely small, light, and compact—just right for a child to carry easily.

The lantern is made from photo cardstock and translucent paper, measures approx. 25 x 26 x 10 cm, and is easy to craft even for beginners with a little crafting experience.

Of course, my autumn owl “Henriette” has to be included here too!

She’s a true nature lover and especially busy right now in the fall! To prepare for winter, Henriette has packed her big harvest basket full of apples—and she also took the opportunity to take her big favorite hat out for a spin again! Doesn’t she look chic! :-)

Using cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g and a size 3.5 crochet hook, Henriette will be approx. 11 cm tall, making her ideal as cute fall decor on the table, windowsill, or shelf.

To make her, you’ll need single crochet stitches as well as half double crochet and double crochet stitches. A short description is also included for crab stitches and picots/mouse teeth.

Bring a touch of “elegance” to your fall decor too—with the little fashion-conscious autumn owl Henriette. ;-)

You can find the pattern here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/19479/herbst-eule-henriette-haekelanleitung

Autumn greetings,

These two owls are not only decorative, but also useful, because they are potholders that are sure to look great in your kitchen too! They are also perfect as a small gift for a Secret Santa exchange or to bring along. You will need cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m / 50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr, 100 g each in red (signal red) and green (apple),
as well as 50 g each in turquoise (peacock) and orange (jaffa), plus a crochet hook
size 2.5. Here is the pattern: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/17559/diy-haekelanleitung-bunte-topflappen-crazy-eulen

Owls are trendy and always make a great gift. They can be crocheted in countless colors, but the big eyes are always impressive. Jolanda the owl is crocheted with cotton (Catania and Uschi Super Glanz), using a size 2.0 mm crochet hook. This makes her about 11 cm tall. The owl is intended as decoration, as a gift, or to keep for yourself, butIf children want to play with it, please do not use glued-on eyes or any other glued-on decorative items; instead, be sure to sew the face on securely and do not attach any other parts that could come off!!! And sew all parts on firmly!I would be very happy to see pictures on my page or in the gallery. To crochet the owl, you should already know how to do the following:
  • Magic ring
  • Chain stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Half double crochet
  • Double crochet
  • Slip stitches
  • Decreases
  • Increases
  • Color changes
I hope you have lots of fun crocheting, decorating, giving it as a gift, and showing it off. The pattern may only be used for private purposes and may not be altered, sold, exchanged, published, or copied, not even in part. The pattern may also not be translated into other languages. The finished figures may be sold (not in series), with credit to the designer Sandras-Kreativinsel.
