Dear users, dear authors,
our authors have creatively explored the themes of maritime décor and Best from Leftovers, resulting in some very beautiful patterns. Have fun crafting.

@Authors,
here in this thread, each author can present all patterns from the theme-worlds campaign. CR and sales figures don’t matter. Don’t forget links, images, info, etc.

Already thoroughly tested on the Baltic Sea beach: my “Beach Love” dress ❤️

As a Northern German, the sea is home to me, so I absolutely had to design something with a maritime theme.

This dress can be crocheted with the yarn of your choice and in the size of your choice. Matching outfits are therefore possible—as with mine—and are really fun!

The pattern is richly illustrated and, for the first time ever, also includes a crochet chart.

A gradient yarn cake really makes the skirt stand out.

The greeting MOIN is typically maritime.
What many people don’t know: it’s only Moin.
Moin, Moin is already chatter.

After the sea is before the sea, because the sea is always a good idea.

I designed the statement motifs on these two themes for you.
They are written in a beginner-friendly way, because every row is written out stitch by stitch.
For the pros among you, there is a short version and a charted pattern.

The finished cloth is about the size of a dishcloth.
However, you can make many other things from it too: washcloths, potholders, cuddle cloth, comfort cloth etc. If you’re creative, you can also conjure up a blanket, a table runner, a tablecloth, wall decor or window decor from it.
Let your imagination run free.

A blaze of color from leftover yarnInspired by the fascinating colors of the bird world, I developed my new crochet pattern, with which
you can conjure up your own colorful birds. They are perfect as
decoration for a window or door and also look wonderful as gift
or keychains, bag charms, or even as a cheerful eye-catcher on the
rearview mirror in your car. No matter where you place them, they are guaranteed to
bring good cheer! The pattern is divided into several parts, so there is something for every skill level. From the clear
short explanation to crochet charts, special explanations and tips, all the way to the photo tutorial
– everything is included.

I’m really looking forward to seeing your colorful crocheted birds and hope they bring you just as much joy as they bring me. Let’s
make the world a little more colorful together! Best wishes, Ines

It’s still summer, but Christmas is definitely on its way.
Dousenn is a 12-part knitting pattern that’s perfect for knitting as an Advent calendar... Just knit one section every other day, and you’ll have a finished shawl by Christmas.

This pattern is also a great way to use up lots of your leftover yarn. Each section can be knitted in a different color; you’ll need 11 colors of approx. 20 g each (sock-weight yarn) per section, plus 100 g of the main color.

Even our littlest ones want to dress in a maritime style.
Your leftovers are guaranteed to be enough for these mini hats and scarves.
And if you don't like the color combo,
you can of course combine other colors too.

The hat and scarf were crocheted for dolls / preemies / babies with a head circumference of approx. 37 cm.
The pattern explains how you can crochet other sizes.
The measurements for sizes 3-6 months, 6-12 months and 1-2 years are included in the pattern.

Wishing you lots of fun crocheting, Mona (Froschoma_Mona)

The maritime theme inspired me to design this elegant shell shawl with a matching shawl ring. A double-face knitting pattern with a high fun factor, as new shells keep appearing at regular intervals.

Until I had the first of the two patterns, there was a lot of frogging and starting over.
I just didn’t like any of the ideas I had.
That, too, is part of everyday life as a designer.

Then suddenly I had the thought, “I could make something in Tunisian crochet,” and that’s how the sampler shawl Amari came about, in which I used some pretty old leftover yarn.

Sankakukei , on the other hand, went from idea to finished piece in one day.
Since I’ve already crocheted so many things in the round, I thought of a small triangle made from leftover yarn.

For the “Maritime” campaign theme, I knitted matching Mojos; they’re lucky socks that everyone can surely use. Of course, they also feature the popular simple mowi heel again and are knitted with 3 needles, the CraSyTrio.

The Mojos look fun because of the pattern. But they fit extremely well on the foot.

For the campaign theme “Best from Leftovers”
I have two patterns that can be knitted from even the tiniest leftovers.

A small hot water bottle, for example for children, can also be tucked nicely into a cuddly warm cover. That way it stays warm longer and isn’t as hot against the body. This cover, just like the large one, is very easy and quick to knit. I used leftover sock yarn here, which works well for it.

I also came up with something for the doll children
that can be knitted very well from small leftovers. It’s a sleeve scarf or shoulder bolero that looks very cute when worn.

Cross-stitch pattern for maritime motifs to use up leftovers.
You can make wonderful use of leftover embroidery thread or fabric scraps with the embroidery motifs from my new maritime sampler.

The small cross-stitch motifs are perfect for guest towels or bookmarks. Wider embroidery bands can be used, for example, to sew maritime-themed gift bags.
For more ideas and sample photos, click the link above and take a look at the embroidery pattern right away.

Happy stitching wishes
Karola

I created 2 patterns for this year’s community campaign:

For the Maritime theme:
Lighthouse as storage for makeup remover pads or as gift packaging

The lighthouse is crocheted around an empty chips can and lit with an LED tealight. The can can be opened at the bottom so you can store a small gift inside. For example, a small bottle of sparkling wine fits inside. You can also give the lighthouse as a gift with the self-crocheted makeup remover pads in the shape of shells. The pattern for the shells is also part of the crochet pattern.

For the Leftovers theme:
Activity book to promote fine motor skills in children

A leftover project doesn’t necessarily have to look like it was made from leftovers. This picture book is a good example of that. For one page you need about 42 g of cotton yarn. You can make each page in a different color. For the individual elements, you only need a few grams of yarn and can use different yarn types.
This is a varied craft project that you’re sure to really enjoy.
Children will keep busy with the book for a long time. Through play, they discover all kinds of fasteners (Velcro, buttons, zipper, and many more). They can put laundry into a washing machine and hang it up with small clothespins, tie a shoe, braid hair, play tic-tac-toe, match colors and shapes, etc.
Take a look for yourself!

My contribution to the 2024 community campaign is these cute cuddly little dolls.

Here are my two contributions to the campaign.

My maritime project is this lighthouse. It’s a decorative lamp illuminated by two LED tea lights.

The lighthouse shown is made from photo cardstock and some tracing paper. It measures approximately 9.5 x 20 x 8 cm.

My idea for using up your photo cardstock scraps is this puzzle cube. The entire puzzle is assembled from 27 small cubes, which are then combined into 7 shapes. By solving the puzzle, you can assemble a large cube using these shapes. I’ll show one solution in the pattern, but there are several!

The cube measures approximately 9 x 9 x 9 cm.

I crocheted 3 pairs of potholders in the double-face technique for this wonderful community campaign. If you don’t know this technique yet: it allows both sides of the potholders to be crocheted with completely different designs.

For the maritime theme:
Potholders for Baltic Sea and Usedom fans

Shark potholders

For the leftovers theme:
Summery potholders in rainbow colors with butterflies
There are also blank templates in black and white included in the pattern, so everyone can put the colors together individually based on the leftover yarn they have available.

Have fun crocheting!

Unfortunately, I can only dream of the sea - it’s not exactly right around the corner.
Do you feel the same way? Then bring a maritime mood into your home and enjoy the small maritime crochet pieces I’ve put together for you from my yarn scraps.
Have fun making them and good luck in the giveaway!

On the theme Best from Leftovers:

A splash of color on the table or on the little cabinet in the corner? With the pattern for the Rainbow Doily, you can conjure up this splash of color for your home in a Granny Square doily that can be enlarged as much as you like.

On the theme Maritime:

You can create a wonderful reminder of a day by the sea—or a longing for it worked right into the blanket—with the colorful motif blanket featuring fish, lighthouses, and ships. This blanket isn’t just for the little ones; older sailors and seafarers are sure to enjoy it too.

Hobune was a spontaneous thing, because at first I wasn’t thinking of the maritime theme at all.
But when I saw the yarn, the idea of the sailboat on this cloth came to me right away.

You can use it for washing dishes, as a potholder, or even as a picture.
Maybe you’d like to give Hobune as a gift to someone special.

The PDF file consists of 2 pages. The pattern is worked mainly from the knitting chart and is also suitable for beginners with basic skills.
