For socks, 1 skein of sock yarn with 100 g and a yardage of 400–420 m is often enough.
For my
socks with a faux cable, I only needed about 60 g.
So you could even knit 3 pairs of socks from 2 skeins.
The socks are
started at the toe and knitted upward.
That lets you decide for yourself how long you want the leg to be.
The faux cable looks like a cable, but it isn’t one. You don’t need a cable needle.
Even beginners can manage this pattern.

You need even less yarn for a dishcloth, motif cloth, or motif doily.
Just 1 skein of
50 g cotton yarn is enough to knit one of the motif cloths.
The knitting is very easy, because only knit and purl stitches are worked.
In the pattern, every row is written out stitch by stitch, and a chart is also included. You’ll also get printable bands as a bonus. You can print these out and label them if you’d like to give the finished dishcloths as gifts.
Below are 2 links to value offers that include several cloths.
All motifs are also available individually, along with many more motifs….
