I’ve named this market bag the “Origami Bag” because it was inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding, origami. It’s crocheted using the basic Tunisian stitch. For this, you’ll need a Tunisian crochet hook (which is a longer crochet hook or a crochet hook with a cord) in the appropriate size. The basic Tunisian stitch is explained in detail in the pattern. So that you can practice this technique without having to worry about patterns or increases and decreases, I’ve chosen a gradient yarn here. You simply crochet a rectangle of the appropriate size, which is then folded and sewn together along the seams. This creates this attractive bag in summery colors.

Bobbel cakes and gradient yarns make life easy for us. Here, the color gradients come straight from the ball of yarn. We don’t have to change balls or weave in any yarn ends.

For this blanket, which you can crochet as large as you like, I used 1 Bobbel cake with 1500 meters of merino wool. If I had wanted the blanket to be larger, I would have used a second Bobbel cake. My blanket with the distinctive textured pattern measures 70 x 70 cm. The Bobbel cake has only a few colors, which gives it a calmer look. The colors blend more softly into one another.





Baby Sleep Sack, Swaddle Sack for Babies

When you knit this lovely, warm, and practical baby sleep sack, you can knit it in a solid color or with a gradient yarn. The entrelac pattern is shown off especially well by the color-changing merino wool yarn. The cuff is folded over so it lies double. My “Sunset” tunic was crocheted with a gradient cake yarn.
The colors range from lime to turmeric and cognac all the way to Malaga, creating a real spectacle of color.
Thanks to the raglan-from-the-top (RVO) crochet technique, you can adapt it to all kinds of sizes.
For this tunic, the raglan line was crocheted in a leaf pattern. The pattern also repeats on the body from the waist down.
