Summer, sun, sea....... the perfect season for shawls and vests, or a combination of a classic triangular shawl and a vest, just like the Summerdream shawl vest.
The crocheted shawl can be made as large/small as you like. You can crochet and wear it as a classic shawl, or as a shawl vest by crocheting two armholes with the help of chain stitches and adding two more corners so that it looks similar to a real vest.
The pattern includes both written instructions with lots of photos and a crochet chart.
Difficulty level:
classic shawl --> advanced beginners
shawl vest --> intermediate to difficult (because special details are explained only in writing in the text)
What you need:
Yarn:
Approx. 400 g of any yarn cake (or 2x à 200 g – 4-ply - à 1000 m running length), recommended hook size 3.5; for the shawl vest, it’s best to plan on 2000–2400 m running length.
Size: 1.90 x 1.00 meters wingspan (shoulder width approx. 70 cm)
Depending on whether you want to crochet only a shawl or the shawl vest, you will need between 200 and 400 g of yarn (hook size 3.5)

chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, ability to read a crochet chart, ability to follow text instructions (also in abbreviated form)
