Does this sound familiar? You’re lying in a lounge chair wanting to read, but that wooden beam above your head keeps getting in the way? A reading pillow like this lets you read in total relaxation, especially in a lounge chair. It’s a great project to crochet while watching TV, since the pattern consists of 4 rows that repeat continuously, and the increases and decreases are regular. You can make it using leftover yarn—that way, it’ll turn out colorful and cheerful.

The fruit coasters are very easy to crochet, since they consist only of spiral rounds. You just need to change colors every now and then, depending on which fruit slice you’re crocheting. The coasters can also be used outdoors as glass lids, since a straw fits perfectly through the hole in the middle. And if you make them a little bigger and crochet a loop onto them, you can also use them as pot holders, like the melon slice on the far right in the picture.

If you watch the evening news every day, a temperature blanket like this is an ideal project to crochet while you watch, because you only crochet one row each day—in the color that corresponds to that day’s temperature. You’ll easily finish it by the time the news is over. After a year, you’ll have a blanket with a random color pattern without having to put in much effort.

The Mascha triangular shawl is quite simple and quick to make. Start at the bottom tip and gradually work your way up, increasing on both sides. The pattern repeats every two rows and then continues throughout. This gives you room to let your thoughts wander or focus on other things, like your favorite TV show.

You can find the pattern in my store, Blickfang-Design. Stop by my store, Blickfang-Design, and get inspired. I look forward to your visit.

This crocheted triangular shawl is crocheted from a fine summer yarn (Schachenmayr Tahiti).

It is crocheted from the bottom up, and the pattern repeat is over one row. Once you’ve made a start, you can easily crochet along on the side without missing anything from the movie.

The size can be chosen individually; I recommend at least 3 balls of the yarn mentioned above (yardage 280 m).

How about a new knitted cushion

The pattern is explained in detail in the instructions with pictures and can also be worked up well by beginners who are looking for a new challenge.

Here, too—once you’ve made a start, the pattern practically works itself, row by row, while you’re doing something else.

This cute little summer hat for dolls is a quick and easy crochet project. It’s an ideal little project for using up leftover yarn and is absolutely perfect for beginners.

You can adjust the size of the hat yourself to fit your doll.

With some needlework in your hands, every TV evening is even more exciting, and before you know it, you’ve made a lot of progress by the end of the evening. Here are a few examples that I like to recommend as projects to work on in the background.

Timeless baby blanket made from soft merino wool

The blanket looks exactly the same on both sides. The pattern consists of just 4 pattern rows that repeat over and over and are made up only of knit and purl stitches. The soft merino wool is warming, soft, breathable, and machine washable. The perfect gift for babies and toddlers.

Felted moccasins in all sizes

Since the felting wool is very thick and we knit with thick needles, this project is easy to knit while watching TV. We knit a pair of felted moccasins, and the edge is crocheted. Then they go into the washing machine for felting. With a non-slip sole added, they are perfect house shoes all year round. They are warming, breathable, you won’t sweat in them, they don’t absorb odors, and they adapt to the individual shape of your foot.

My Cowl Luftikus can be worn on either side; the pattern is designed so it looks good from both sides.
With just 100 g of yarn (350 mLL), a simple pattern creates a wonderful neck warmer that knits up quickly.
