Hello, dear all,
new year, new luck!
This year, too, we will continue our popular yarn swap campaign. The first yarn package is already ready to go. All that’s missing are the participants.
The package contains yarn in all colors and qualities. They are all waiting to be looked at, discovered, chosen, and adopted by you. You may take your time touching everything, feeling it, stroking it, choosing it and sorting it back out again. Take a little time for it and let the yarns make their impression on you. After all, some treasures are only discovered at second glance.
We are looking for 10 to 15 participants. Anyone who wants to take part in the swap ring, please sign up here in this thread.
The swap ring works like this:
I am the initiator of this swap ring and will pack a 5 kg package with yarn. I will ask all participants beforehand by email for their names, addresses, preferences, and dislikes regarding the yarns and put together a participant list from that. Anyone who wants to can then take the preferences and dislikes into account when packing the package. Anyone who does not specify anything here will just be surprised.
The data will not be published here on CP. I will place the list I have created in my freshly packed yarn package. I will send it at my own expense to No. 2 on the list.
Participant No. 2 on the list receives the package and chooses from it what she likes. As a replacement for the yarns she has taken out, she puts yarns of equal value into the package. The list goes back into the package. Participant No. 2 then sends the package at her own expense to participant No. 3 on the list. The list goes back into the package, and so on and so forth. In the end, the package ends up back with me, because I am the last address on the list. I will then destroy the list with the data.
When it is sent off, the package must always have the same weight, so that everyone has the same amount to choose from and the postage is the same for every participant (DHL package at 5.99 euros).
Once the swap package has started, I will create a separate thread. We will always write in there where the package currently is. It would be nice if every participant posted a photo of the treasures they scored
. Then everyone can share in the joy a little, or be annoyed that they didn’t join in.
Summary of the rules:
1. The package may not weigh more than 5 kg so that the DHL postage remains the same for all participants.
2. Every ball of yarn must have a label.
3. Several balls of yarn of the same type only need one label.
4. The yarns taken out are always replaced with yarns of equal quality.
5. Only yarn should be swapped.
Anyone who would like to join in, please add your name here in this thread. But please do not write any personal data here! I will contact you later.
Warm regards from Ina
