Sitting all cozy on the sofa and crocheting little items for your loved ones...
and if your leftover yarn is shrinking in the process... is there anything better?

Here are a few great crochet ideas for small/useful gifts:

I always crochet pretty doll clothes from leftover yarn for my grandchildren. Feel free to take a look at the ideas in my shop . You only ever need a very small amount of yarn, a fine crochet hook, and the right pattern. I’m happy to introduce two lovely patterns to you in a little more detail here.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Modern Doll Dress with Summer Hat

The dress stands out with its defined waist and a lovely neckline that beautifully shows off a necklace. It closes at the back with snaps, so it fits perfectly. The dress can be made in any length. The summer hat is open at the top.

Favorite Little Summer Dress
Here is another favorite of mine. The short little dress is quick to crochet, and in no time you’ll have something pretty finished. You only need two colors. You’ll surely make more than one dress. The dress closes at the back with snaps.

Yes, doll clothes are a great way to use up leftover yarn. I’d like to contribute a few more ideas that fit the cold season:

On cold winter days, the little dolls are snugly bundled up in overalls and quilted jackets warmly bundled up, both girls and boys. The pattern for the headband is also included. All pieces are crocheted using single crochet stitches.

Crocheted with a fine plush yarn, these jackets and hats look as if they’re made of fur. The pattern for the gradient loop scarf is also included. The little dolls certainly won’t get cold!

And when the lakes are frozen over, the little dolls naturally want to go ice skating, too. In the short ice-skating outfit with matching earmuffs, they’re dressed just right for it. The neckline, sleeves and skirt hem are crocheted with a fur trim (made from sponge yarn). It sparkles and makes the outfit a little glamorous. By the way: the pattern also explains how to make the ice skates yourself using hot glue.

Oh, I forgot to include the link for the “fur” jacket with hat and loop scarf.

@Ruth
I’ve added the link above.
Check if it works.

Thanks, Josefa—unfortunately, that one doesn’t work because it links to the overalls (the pattern above it).

With just about 20 grams per color, you can knit this cute hat for a newborn. The hat is worked in double-faced knitting, which makes it nice and dense—plus, it looks great from both sides! A detailed description of how to adjust the hat size for any head circumference is, of course, included.

This dishcloth is easy to knit and can even be made from a scrap of about 30–35 grams of cotton. It consists only of knit and purl stitches. Each row is written out stitch by stitch, so that even advanced beginners can easily follow along.
