Creative crafting—for me, that also means bringing in your own ideas. This works especially well when crocheting hand puppets. Here you can use leftover yarn and let the different colors and yarns inspire you.

I’d like to introduce a few characters for the Kasperl puppet theater that you can crochet using patterns from my shop:

Kasperl
is, of course, the main character and simply has to be there. I chose a colorful gradient yarn (Catania Color) for his costume. But you can also use lots of colorful leftover yarn to conjure up a colorful outfit for Kasperl.

The evil robber
naturally causes Kasperl a lot of trouble. Luckily, he is pretty stupid. That way Kasperl can always outsmart him. He wears clothes in muted colors so he won’t be spotted right away when he’s out on another raid. Only the colorful feather flutters cheekily on his hat. But that often means you can spot him from afar.

The police officer
keeps peace and order in Kasperl’s village. He is very proud of his blue uniform. Unfortunately, he isn’t particularly clever either, so he always has to rely on Kasperl’s help when he wants to catch the robber

Here you can let your creativity run wild to your heart’s content: The sewn guitar has even been sewn by a 9-year-old. You can design it completely yourself; there are no limits to your imagination here!

Sew it as a loving gift for someone special, as a source of comfort, or simply as a cool and not-quite-everyday decorative object on the sofa :).

You can use all of these wonderfully here:

  • Buttons
  • Glitter yarn
  • Embroidery
  • Plotter design
  • Ribbons
  • Patches
  • Iron-on transfers and iron-on rhinestones
  • Rivets
Here you can see a few examples. The sewn guitar has inspired seamstresses to achieve top results again and again :)

The ebook contains 2 sewing patterns in 2 sizes each.

Have fun sewing!

Best wishes,
Sonja

You can make young children with a play shop really happy with this bag, filled with carrots and lemons. They’re always in need of restocks, and of course, a shopping bag is a must-have. Maybe this will be a great addition to the play shop for Christmas?

All the pieces are very easy to crochet—even for beginners with basic skills. This is also a great way to use up leftover cotton yarn and get creative with it.

In fall/winter, many people have more time for their beloved crafts. So it’s worth taking on a larger piece now and then. But to make sure it actually gets finished, it has to be exciting and keep us engaged. I have just the right project for you. You can crochet with lots of beautiful colorful yarn and in the end be rewarded with a uniquely beautiful blanket in your favorite colors.

First we crochet lots of identical squares in different colors that harmonize well with each other. Then we join them together to make a blanket. Then we add a crochet border all around. Done!

I hope you enjoy looking at it and making it yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

Many of us always have unfinished craft projects with the materials for them lying around somewhere in a container or a bag. That's a shame, really. Because it can be much prettier! Just put your unfinished project in a large crocheted basket. It is so beautiful that it can stay on the couch even when visitors come over. You always have everything together for this one project and can also move it from A to B.

The basket has a sturdy sandwich base and a decorative folded-over edge at the top. In between, colored rounds with colorful bobbles are a delight. After every round, you’ll be amazed at how the look changes when the bobbles suddenly appear. Just give it a try.

I hope you enjoy this beautiful crochet project.

Warm regards from Ina

PS. You could also give it to a craft-loving friend for Christmas, filled with yarn ;-)

I’ve also let my imagination run wild with crafts a time or two—this patchwork blanket is pretty easy to knit. I knitted 96 rectangles measuring 13 cm x 8 cm from scraps and then crocheted them together with black yarn. One of my grandchildren had asked me for this blanket as a Christmas gift years ago.
Then I knitted myself a blanket from scraps in a diagonal pattern—also very colorful. I knitted back, or rather, started decreasing when the two sides I had were about 150 cm long. So the blanket measures 150 cm x 150 cm and keeps my legs warm when I’m watching TV and it’s chilly.

Best regards, Inge

With this pencil holder, there are virtually no limits to your imagination: from solid-colored to wildly colorful, from simple to completely over-the-top—anything goes, because with such a simple model you don’t have to commit to anything and can create something new every week!

The pencil holder is made of photo cardstock, approx. 11 cm wide and 8 cm tall. It’s also well suited for skilled beginners.
