Do you have lots of small, colorful leftover yarn? How about crocheting a few cute finger puppets from it? They are especially popular with kindergarten-age children because they can be taken anywhere and because they are easier for small children to play with than hand puppets.


Especially around Halloween, thelittle witch  is a big hit. With her bulbous nose and messy red hair, she doesn’t look frightening at all, but very charming.



The cute  hedgehog couple Anny and Bruno  is also especially perfect for autumn. Bruno is a passionate gardener and gives his beloved the most beautiful sunflower from his garden.


If you want to crochet a whole farm out of finger puppets, you’re in the right place! You can crochet five farm animals with this pattern: a goat, a horse, a pig, a sheep, and a cow.

This washcloth with the cute little feet is a wonderful gift for the birth of a baby. And it’s really fun to knit! You’ll need about 30–35 grams of soft cotton yarn or a bamboo-cotton blend.

You can also use up leftover yarn with this preemie/baby hat. The pattern is written so that you can knit the hat in all sizes, from preemies (head circumference 26 cm) to larger children. You only need knit and purl stitches, so it’s very easy to make.

You can knit this cute jacket for a small floppy teddy bear measuring 20–25 cm. It looks very cute on him. Leftover yarn is sufficient here, and the jacket would certainly look great with stripes, too.

What do you do when it’s Sunday and you have time and feel like crafting? You can’t exactly go out and buy yarn. Now it has to be a craft project where you already have the yarn at home, so you can get started right away. How about doll clothes? You can also crochet them from small leftover yarn scraps for your daughters’ and granddaughters’ dolls. So you won’t get bored, I have lots of lovely patterns for them in my shop.
