If you have old buttons that aren’t so pretty anymore, with a diameter of about 2 cm, you can crochet gorgeous new buttons using leftover yarn (cotton with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g).

These cute snowflakes are crocheted from leftover white cotton yarn. They have a silver glitter border and a funny face. You can incorporate a small pocket on the back so that the snowflakes can also be used as gift tags or for an Advent calendar. The snowflakes have a diameter of about 13 cm, and the pocket on the back has a diameter of 5 cm. However, you can also make them a bit larger.
You can find the crochet pattern for the snowflake here!

You can quickly knit decorative coasters from cotton scraps. Here you’ll find 6 different designs under the theme “Summer Drinks.” Thanks to the detailed, row-by-row pattern, these coasters are perfect for beginners. You’ll only need knit stitches and purl stitches.

1) The “Mayflower” backpack already has over 2,100 sales under its belt. This cute keychain or bag charm is a wonderful everyday companion, just right for a few coins, bills, hair ties, earbuds, or other small items. Also great as a little gift or voucher pouch, or as a doll backpack. It is crocheted with single crochet stitches as well as the duplicate stitch, which you can then embroider to your heart’s content.

2) The “Wing and Star” bookmark has already been purchased over 1,400 times—clever and quick to make, a mix of Tunisian and traditional crochet. The bookmark is worked in one piece, so you only need to weave in the starting and ending ends. Also great as gift ribbon, a keychain, napkin rings, etc.

3) This adorable calendar has already been purchased over 1,300 times. There is still plenty of time to make this unique “pocket calendar” and make the hearts of girls young and old beat faster—Advent calendar for “Fashionistas 1.0”. Each model includes detailed instructions with step-by-step photos and, if needed, crochet charts. Also wonderfully suited for turning leftover yarn into little dream pieces.

Today I have something on offer that’s great for using up leftovers and is sustainable at the same time! A pretty set consisting of
1) makeup remover pads with a hanging loop in various textures
2) a cute, reversible basket for storing the pads
3) A small mesh bag in which the pads can be safely washed in the washing machine.

You’ll need leftover cotton yarn, a crochet hook, and a little time. Thanks to the well-explained crochet pattern with plenty of pictures, it’s very easy to make.

Everyone has them. They live in dark bins and boxes, waiting for their big day. Finally, finally, you should bring them out into the light and conjure up something beautiful from them. If you’ve been missing the right idea for your leftover yarn so far, maybe today there’s just the thing for you.

I hope you enjoy looking and making them.

Warm regards from Ina

Heart Pendants

You should always crochet these pretty heart pendants in advance, because you’ll always need one now and then to give to someone dear. Sometimes words fail us, but the heart then shows how close we are to the other person and that we are thinking of them. A little lucky charm like this is always welcome and warms the heart. It’s quickly crocheted from a few scraps of cotton yarn. You can also use it as a keychain or a scented hanger for the closet.'

Pillows and Rug for the Doll Bed

The soft accessories for the doll bed are also quick to crochet from leftovers. With a few pillows in different sizes, or even a rug, the dollhouse looks more cozy right away. You’ll make the doll mommy happy and put your leftover yarn to good use.

Rustico Basket

Here you’ll need to have a bit more leftover yarn. You can use anything you have and that goes well together. We crochet with all the yarns at the same time, creating really wonderful pattern and color effects. But what’s special about this basket is that a plastic clothesline runs along inside it. This ultimately provides the shape and makes the basket sturdy.
