The package is on its way again....
I actually had to repack it; the box was too heavy 😕 so I had to use another one....
Have a great day, everyone....

Dear Steffi, I’m so happy for you that you found such lovely, soft wool. For gloves and the like, you simply need soft, warm yarns—otherwise, it’s all for nothing. It’s only June now, but before you know it, you’ll need them again. And a wise woman plans ahead.

I wish all readers a lovely, sunny day.
Warm regards from Ina

Thanks, Steffi, for picking out the items so quickly and sending them off so fast. Now I’m curious to see when the treasure chest will arrive at my place.

Hello to all you yarn addicts—

thanks to the speedy Steffi and fast mail service, I already received the swap package today.
And I’ve been rummaging through it, found exactly what I was looking for, of course, and...

Now Ina can look forward to the package—I sent it on its way again this afternoon.

Hey Bine,

I’m totally blown away. What a wonderfully large haul, and I even recognize some of my own yarn. Have fun working with it.
I would have liked that “Moonlight” yarn, too.
But the “swap package” was sent off right away, and just like that, it’ll be with Ina soon.
I’m so curious to see what else arrives at Ina’s.
Wonderful.

Have a nice evening

I was really happy about the yarn. I’d love to knit the “Moonlight” into a shawl — I just hope the glittery thread doesn’t bother me or feel scratchy. I don’t have any experience with that.

YES, this time my husband didn’t even roll his eyes when a yarn delivery arrived. Haha... even he thinks it’s a good idea and just smiled about “US WOOL-CRAZY SWAP LADIES.”

Have a lovely evening, everyone!

Wow, great selection. That saffron color is really lovely.

I still have some Catania Grande lying around, too. I’m curious to see what you’ll create with it. I hope you’ll share it here on the forum.

And I’d like that color of sock yarn, too.

Have fun working with it, everyone, and I look forward to seeing your photos

That went pretty fast 👍
You’ve got a great haul there.
How nice that some of my yarns have found a new home, too.
I’m curious to see what you’ll whip up with the Moonlight yarn. I didn’t find the glittery thread scratchy at all.... I actually wanted to crochet a moon elf with it, but then I thought the yarn was too “dark.” It was just meant for you.
Now I’m curious to see what Ina will receive 😍
...and since I’m heading to Italy for a “few” days on Sunday or Monday, I might actually have to be really patient to keep reading here....

"Yarn-crazy swap aunts" 😅—wonderful! You’ve received some really beautiful yarn.
I just love these swap packages—they’re a great way to discover new yarns you might not have bought otherwise. For me, for example, it was this hand-dyed yarn from Tausendschön—now I’m on pins and needles because I’ve already knitted up the skein I swapped and am waiting for the one I reordered so I can keep going. Since I liked the yarn so much, I ordered another color blend—something I definitely wouldn’t have done before receiving the package.
Now I’m curious to see what will arrive at Ina’s.

I wish you all a sunny weekend

Hi Bine,
well, now that’s what I call a great haul! So many beautiful yarns. And only one item left before me. That stings a little, because I would’ve liked the Safran too, and I would’ve given the Moonlight a couple more looks as well. But of course, I’m happy for you to have those yarns! That’s how swapping works. Everyone gets a surprise package.

Now I’m really curious to see what made its way to me and which slow-moving items from my stash just want to stay with me.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone, and enjoy the summer weather. And of course, don’t forget the yarn and needles.

Warm regards

Bine, you really picked out some fantastic yarns. There would have been something for me there, too. Now I’m really excited to see what treasures all of us will send to Ina. In any case, there will definitely be something from me in there, if I counted correctly.

It’s so great to see the package making its way around with all its different contents. I’m really excited about it and will definitely always be part of it.

I wish you all a wonderful summer weekend, with or without knitting needles.

Hello everyone,

Yes, the yarn I chose is still here near me to look at, and

@Ina, I’ll keep the saffron in mind for the next package. I did consider leaving something in, but I played it safe for the planned projects. ;o)

The Moonlight yarn is captivating for its colors alone — they caught my eye right away.

In any case, I’m definitely excited to see all the projects that will be made from the exchange yarns.

Best wishes and have a great weekend

Dear “wool-crazy swap aunts”: I’d love to count myself among you, but unfortunately, customs restrictions stand in the way… I’m following the package’s journey with great pleasure and excitement, and I find myself wondering which yarns would have caught my eye—and in the process, I’m discovering lots of new things, like Moonlight. Right now, I’m mainly using Baby Cotton by Lang, Organic Cotton by Anchor, and Safran to make dishcloths, and Omega by Lang to make stuffed animals. In my stash, I still have a large supply of sock yarn, as well as countless skeins of Catania in many colors.
Now I’m really looking forward to seeing your creations made from the swap yarns!

Yes, Christina, I know all about customs. I could never take part in the parcel swap either when we lived in Norway. That makes me all the happier to be able to join in now.

Good morning, everyone!

Yesterday, the mail carrier brought my yarn package! I had actually planned to open it in the afternoon when my husband was out fishing. But there it was, sitting on the bench on my garden patio. I was just making lunch, so I quickly peeled the potatoes and put them on to boil. And then I just couldn’t wait until the afternoon—my curiosity was too strong.

So I opened the package right away. First, I found a few very sweet lines from Sabine, along with a really cute keychain shaped like a friendly-looking flower. It’s crocheted so finely, and the embroidered face turned out great, too. Thank you so much for that!

Next came the yarns. I spread them all out on the big table and sorted them. In the photo, on the left, you can see the yarns that just wanted to go on a little round trip and have now returned to me.

In the middle are my new yarns, the ones I picked out myself. I especially like the two thick skeins of gradient yarn (Mixed Fine). It’s relatively thin, and I’m sure I’ll come up with something to do with it.

And on the far right of the picture are the yarns I would have sent on.

The ones I passed on aren’t bad—it’s just that I’ve realized I don’t really like the sand, beige, and yellow colors that much. And metallic and sponge yarns aren’t really my thing either.

*************************************************************

Well, girls, that’s it for this time. I’d like to thank everyone for participating, sharing the excitement, and letting me share this with you. I hope you all have lots of fun with the treasures you picked out.

Enjoy your Sunday and do something fun! It’s raining here today—so I don’t have to do any gardening and can devote myself to my yarn after breakfast. And a lovely new fabric is waiting for me, too...

Warm regards from Ina

Wow, the contents have really changed quite a bit since it was with me. Some great items have been making the rounds—it was really fun!
And thank you so much for the idea and for organizing this!

Hello everyone,

I have to agree with Veronika regarding the contents. Dear Ina, thank you once again for your wonderful organization—waiting for the mail, unpacking and sorting through everything, and making plans for the yarns that catch your eye—it’s all so much fun.
I’ll definitely be joining the next swap round.

We’re having unbearable humidity here, so today I’ll be spending my time knitting, looking after my grand-dog terrier, and relaxing in the pool.
Well, have fun crafting, everyone, and have a wonderful Sunday!

Dear Ina, I have to say that a lot has changed there. This way, we can already get a sense of what’s likely to end up in the next package. Luckily, there are still quite a few things left that you like.

I’d also like to thank you very much for organizing this and for all the effort you put into it. I’d be happy to participate again next time.

Have a wonderful evening, everyone, and enjoy a sunny summer week.

It’s great that you all had so much fun.

Thanks, Ina / Schnuckelina for organizing this. You’re doing a great job.
Will there be another swap package event, or is it time for a summer break?

Hello to all the yarn addicts, ;0)

I had my little granddaughter visiting for a few days and didn’t get around to writing anything at all.  But what could be nicer than spending time with the little ones.

@ Ina,  I’m glad you found quite a nice amount of wool and yarn after all,  I can see a lot from me in there too.
The colorful yarn is in there especially for you,  since you usually work with such bright colors.
Thank you for praising the little flower so much. I like crocheting keychains like that.  Thanks again for organizing the package.

@ everyone - I wish all the swap participants lots of joy working with their new treasures

Best wishes
Sabine

@alle
It’s lovely that you all enjoyed the swap again this time and that everyone snagged a few new treasures. It’s true, some yarns you would never have discovered without the swap package.

@Monika
Only a few of the remaining yarns will end up in the next swap package. I don’t want you to get yarns you already know. Someone else will then be happy about the rather “unpopular” yarns.

@Nadel-Bine

Dear Sabine, thank you for your comment as well. The little keychain is truly enchanting. You should always crochet lots of them (if you can and have the necessary sensitivity in your hands) and then give them to dear people. It’s small and unobtrusive and brings a smile to your face. It’s so universal. Your little flower is now hanging on my keyring. How nice that you put the colorful yarn in the package especially for me.

@Josefa

Yes, we’re taking a summer break from the swap package for now. At the moment everyone is supplied with fresh yarn and can now put their ideas into practice. But there will surely be a new swap circle in due course.

I wish all readers a lovely evening.

Best regards, Ina
