The “Autumn Leaf” shawl is perfect for crocheting in the garden or on the balcony. The pattern is very simple and easy to follow, and you’ll be working with a skein of gradient yarn. That way, you don’t have to worry about color changes—you can just crochet away.
The shawl is slightly longer in the back—perfect for anyone who wants to keep their back warm.
You can find the crochet pattern for the “Autumn Leaf” shawl here.

A quick project to work on now and then, which—thanks to the simple pattern—is easy to crochet outdoors on the side, is the hammock for small dolls. You can crochet it with gradient yarn, so you can work with just one skein. Click here for the crochet pattern for the doll hammock.

These dishcloths / washcloths are quick and easy to knit, almost on the side. Each of the six cloths has a different pattern. A great project for leftover yarn.

How about a colorful, summery raglan dress for little girls ages 2.5 and up? It can be worn for a long time, later as a tunic.

There’s also a matching outfit for a doll (45–50 cm) made from the leftovers.

For dolls (43–50 cm), you can knit this cute pair of overalls. It even fits newborns and is easy to make.

There’s also a matching raglan sweater. This pattern includes several sizes, so you can also knit the sweater for small teddy bears (25–30 cm), for example.

If you prefer crocheting, you can use small leftovers to crochet this pretty diaper for a baby doll (43–50 cm). The doll’s mom will be thrilled and will want several of them.

Here are a few ideas for what I like to craft in the garden. Maybe there’s something here for you too. I hope you enjoy looking through them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Felted Moccasins

= thick yarn, thick needles, nothing complicated, it’s easy to knit on the side

Endless Blanket from a Bobbel
Easy pattern, purely a labor of love, blanket size is variable

Sandbag Doorstop

you always need one in summer in an apartment, house, or garden; prevents doors from slamming shut, thick yarn, thick crochet hook, only 1 skein of yarn

Mosaic Blanket Made of Squares

it’s a labor of love; in the garden you can crochet the many identical squares

Colorful Craft Bucket
practical, colorful, pretty, great for using up leftovers, with lots of compartments

Princess Doll Dress
a must-have :-) A small knitted project that’s a lot of fun.

Summer Outfit, 3-Piece Set

Of course, you can crochet doll clothes too.

I like to work on something made of cotton with a simple pattern when I’m doing crafts in the garden

Like this crochet blanket , for example. It’s crocheted using a simple pattern of double crochets in spiral rounds.

Here, I used Schachenmayr’s Catania cotton yarn. You can customize the size of the blanket as you crochet.

Small dishcloths are also easy to crochet. This way, you can use up your leftover cotton yarn and restock your gift box at the same time.

Or granny squares for a blanket. I need the patterns for the first two or three granny squares , but after that, they just come together on their own.

I really enjoy crocheting anything in the garden that uses just a little yarn and involves minimal sewing ♥
And preferably something useful or things you can use right in the garden :-)

For example ...

The DENIM pot holders. Quick to crochet and always great in your own kitchen or as a gift ♥

The RAUTE table runner. Can be adapted directly to the garden table ;-)

Mias Market Bag is always lovely too ♥ and sustainable as well!

Or take all your leftover yarn out into the garden and crochet the gorgeous LEFTOVER FLOWERS
Useful for all kinds of decorations, and you’ll reduce your yarn stash ;-)
