I knitted this placemat with the cute Easter bunny in light gray. That makes it beautifully simple, with the motif taking center stage. The picture is created with knit and purl stitches, and the pattern is written in such detail that even beginners can manage it well.

I also think light gray works very well for a dishcloth or washcloth. This cloth features the zodiac sign "Capricorn" as its motif. It is also very easy to knit and suitable for beginners.

Black is the perfect base color for New Zealand motifs ;-) Here I have a design for advanced knitters - potholders knitted in double knitting. Black:


Do black cats bring bad luck? This one certainly doesn't, because it's very easy to crochet and a lot of fun to make. Its simple, minimalist style is what makes it stand out, and it looks at you mysteriously with its green eyes. To crochet it, you'll need about 60 g of black cotton yarn.

Brown:


The cute squirrel Kiki is crocheted with rust-brown cotton yarn. I used eyelash yarn for the tail. You can also use acrylic yarn, but it should be brushed vigorously with a pet brush to get a bushy tail.

Gray:


For the little mini seal, you only need a small leftover amount of gray cotton yarn. It works well as a keychain or bag charm, because it's only about 10 cm tall. You can have it balance a colorful ball on its snout.
