Hello everyone,
today we’ve come full circle—the swap package has returned to where it all began.
I just couldn’t stop marveling at it. Except for a few skeins of thicker yarn that I had contributed, everything was new to me and very, very exciting. After breakfast today, I took my time examining everything closely—looking at it, touching it, holding it against my delicate neck—and ideas about this or that yarn immediately started forming in my mind.
There were also a lot of crochet hooks. I’m now very well-stocked with those. So you can see what I received, here’s a big group photo. It barely fit on my table. Maybe you’ll recognize your own yarns? (Right-click on the image and open it in a new window—then you’ll be able to see everything better.)
You were curious to know which of my items had made the rounds and hadn’t appealed to anyone. I’d be happy to show you those, too. They’re mostly thick yarns, but they’re also very beautiful. Well, I guess they just wanted to stay with me.
Monika, who sent me the package, also included some lovingly selected extras: Uta Winkler’s book *Grandma Tells Funny Animal Stories*, which she helped bring to publication together with the author; some chocolate; and a good-luck charm in the form of a little angel in a snow globe. Everything was chosen with such care and is truly enchanting. It warms my heart :-) Thank you, dear Monika!
So, my dears. That was our November swap package event. I hope everyone had fun.
In January, we’ll be launching a new yarn swap. Until then, you can already start sorting and collecting. We’ll discuss all the details when the time comes. Until then, I wish everyone who’s been following along and cheering us on in this thread a wonderful time. Enjoy the Advent season and have a wonderful Christmas. We’ll catch up again :-)
Warm regards from Ina
