There’s still time for a little fall decor—these pumpkins are quick to crochet.

It’s storming heavily here right now, and I’m glad to have my hat.

This pattern is knitted using knit and purl stitches and can easily be made in sizes 33–55 cm.

Knitting pattern for a collar — a nice alternative to a loop scarf or a regular scarf — also keeps the neck area warm. Knitted with circular needles, you’ll need knowledge of knit and purl stitches.

If you’d still like to make a lantern for the St. Martin’s Day parade, a weekend would be ideal: Those two days will definitely be enough for you to finish the little lantern.

The small lantern, measuring about 21 cm, is made from photo cardstock and translucent paper. It consists of 18 identical basic shapes and the lantern base. With a little experience cutting with a craft knife, the lantern is very easy to make.

For this weekend, I’m offering a unicorn, two flamingos in love, and two birds who are at least just as much in love :-) The motifs can be crocheted as a comfort cloth for the very littlest ones, as washcloths for slightly older children, and as a dishcloth or potholder for adults.

If you’re often invited to parties and therefore find yourself wrapping gifts frequently, it’s worth using a free weekend to stock up on a small supply of gift boxes. Types of packaging that fold flat and can be stored to save space—like these pillow boxes —are particularly well-suited for this.

The boxes are made of patterned cardstock and measure approximately 6 x 5 x 1.8 cm, 8 x 7 x 2.5 cm, 10 x 9 x 3.2 cm, 12 x 11 x 4 cm, and 14 x 13 x 4.5 cm. They’re very easy to make and are well-suited even for beginners.
