Thank you so much for your lovely birthday wishes. I was very happy about them.

Yes, I had a wonderful birthday today.
My husband had set the breakfast table beautifully, we had a cozy breakfast, and afterwards my parents came by with a gift, and then the four of us drove together to the pumpkin exhibition in Klaistow (pictures will follow).
We ordered sunshine for the weather, everything was great. I’ve never seen so many different kinds of pumpkins in every imaginable color. It was quite busy there (it’s still school holidays here in Brandenburg this week), but it was okay.
We wanted to eat a real bratwurst there - no such luck - none. They had supply problems. So we bought candied almonds, even some strawberry-flavored ones, and there were roasted pumpkin seeds too. Everything was delicious.
After that, we all went to our new apartment (Mom and Dad wanted to see how we’ve settled in), and we had more delicious fruit tart with whipped cream, muffins, and sparkling wine for a toast.

At first I had my doubts because I was trying out my new stove and wondering whether everything would turn out the way I imagined. Everything went well. Everyone enjoyed it.

My children want to come visit next weekend. Everything works smoothly now.
I’m looking forward to it.
Now I’m tired, it was an exciting and lovely birthday
P.S. My mum joked that today was like Children’s Day for me, with a carousel, Ferris wheel, and climbing park. I felt that way too today.

Petra, Monika, Christina, thank you so much to all of you too for the birthday wishes.

It’s definitely a wonderful feeling to celebrate with my family, especially since they live right around the corner. It really warms my heart.
The kids don’t have far to go either, and they’re coming to visit this weekend.

Today we drove to Magdeburg in my parents’ car to go to IK...A and pick up the rest of the small furniture. We didn’t want to take any more risks, so we went to get the stuff ourselves. Some of it is already set up. Tomorrow we’ll do the rest.
Slowly but surely, the boxes are disappearing, and it’s starting to feel more like home. Finally.

P.S. Something else I wanted to tell you: there’s snow in Norway.
We checked the webcam just for fun. We’re so glad to be here, and today was such a lovely fall day with all the colorful trees—it looked amazing.
