Lace, lace trim, and openwork patterns are something special once you’ve dared to try them. Usually very fine yarn is worked here with a thicker needle. But it’s easier than you think. Here are my suggestions for you. For more photos, tips, and the pattern itself, just click on the headings.
I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Scarf with Pearl Lace Trim
Here I knitted with super-soft cashmere wool. The main pattern is stockinette stitch. I knitted pearl lace trim onto both edges. You can make it as wide as you like. After blocking, you get a wonderfully light and elegant shawl that can be worn open or looped around.
Ball Gown with Tulle Petticoat
All doll moms love this enchanting dress. The special feature here is the skirt part. I crocheted a lace trim and blocked the dress later so the openwork pattern could really unfold. A crochet chart is included. At the end, tulle is sewn under the skirt as a petticoat.
Lace Shawl for Beginners
If you’ve never knitted lace, meaning thin yarn with a thick needle, I’d like to encourage you with this pattern. The pattern consists of only two pattern rows that repeat over and over. After blocking the shawl, the wave pattern with the yarn’s color gradient unfolds all on its own.
