Start thinking about Mother’s Day and Father’s Day now!

Sweets, a nice bottle, a small flowerpot—whatever it is: wrapped in this pretty little bag, your gift becomes something very special that comes from the heart!

It is crocheted using the tapestry technique with double stitches. This means there are no floats on the inside, and the individual stitches line up exactly on top of each other instead of being offset. That makes this technique especially suitable for multicolored patterns. Even if you don’t know this technique yet, you can give it a try, because it is explained in detail in the pattern. There is a chart for the pattern, but it is also described stitch by stitch.

The little bag has a diameter of about 9 cm and is 20 cm tall. You’ll need about 1 skein of cotton yarn in each color.

This empty jam jar with a crocheted lid is also perfect for packaging sweets. The penguin mama protecting her child under her wing is a wonderful motif, especially for Mother’s Day! The lid cover can be crocheted from colorful leftover yarn.

And the heart with the two little bears holding hands is also a wonderful motif for Mother’s Day! The heart measures about 11 x 11 cm. You can use leftover yarn here, too.

I gave the gray mouse to my daughter and the white mouse to my cat. They were both happy.
A great project for using leftover yarn in different colors.

For the upcoming weekend, I have three cozy comfort cloths on offer. If you use 100% cotton yarn instead of the suggested baby wool, you can of course also knit potholders from them. All of the featured cloths are knitted using the double knitting technique.

Knitting for dolls is always fun, and you can admire the results in no time. These cute overalls fit dolls sized 43–50 cm as well as small newborns.

A matching top-down raglan sweater can be knitted to go with them. Here, you even get several sizes in the pattern.

And of course, a doll baby like this (43–50 cm) also needs a diaper. This diaper can be crocheted very quickly and easily from a few bits of leftover yarn.

Hats are welcome in spring too. This knitted hat (for 0–24 months) is just the thing. The airy lace pattern and the fun pointed tips are perfect for the warmer temperatures.

A small weekend project: these knitted baby shoes

They are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and you should have some practice using a cable needle.

Knitting pattern for a pillow

This pattern is very easy to knit. The pattern covers only one row and is explained in writing in the pattern, and you will also find a knitting chart.
