Good evening, everyone ...
I hope you had, or are still having, a lovely Easter. Good thing that for most people the typical April weather only arrived today. In this weather you don’t have to go outside and can settle down nice and cozy with your knitting or crochet in front of the TV. I’m currently knitting my next cardigan—it’s for me!
My temperature blanket got some crochet added to it today too, and now it looks like this:
You’ve all been very busy too!
Monika, I really like your dreys! The “pumpkin-shaped” one is my favorite. If I were a squirrel, I’d definitely want to move in there. A lovely idea and wonderfully made! I also think the red overalls for Sternchen are very sweet. And they go so well with the sweater, the hat, and the little shoes—everything is truly adorable.
Marlene, your knitted patterned scarf is quite a challenge. With so much patterning and fine yarn, you have to be very careful and concentrate. You can’t do anything else on the side. I admire your care and perseverance. Only at the end, after blocking the scarf, will the full beauty of the pattern unfold. I’m already looking forward to that photo.
Marion, your Easter table runner looks very pretty. I just imagined it on a beautifully set table. It stays subtly in the background, but its motifs create such a lovely atmosphere.
Ines, I’m glad you’re knitting a cardigan for your mom too. I’m still in cardigan fever myself. Now I’m finally making one for me. There’s a little purple in my shade too, but overall it’s probably more dark and colorful.
Ruth, I’ve rarely seen such a colorful and cheerful snail with such lovingly packed luggage. It’s truly wonderful! I love the colors, the color design, and the idea—absolutely lovely!
Kristina, what beautiful Easter things you crocheted! So many cute little bunnies and then all those colorful Easter eggs. You really want to look at everything longer and more closely and enjoy it. I also like that you added lace ribbon bows to the eggs. Are the hanging loops crocheted? They almost look like beads.
The Easter eggs dyed with onion skins look interesting. How did you make the little leaf impressions? Oh, and the baked braided bunny looks far too beautiful to eat.
Anja, I understand your frustration about the pattern that just doesn’t really want to work out. That definitely takes the fun out of it. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you’ll still manage it. On the other hand, your potholders made from the old cotton bedding look good, are useful, and are also an example of reusing old things.
I wish all readers a relaxing evening.
Best wishes from Ina
