Whether for Mom, Dad, or another special person, these little bags are sure to make your gift come “From the Heart.” There’s hardly a more loving way to wrap a small token of appreciation or a gift certificate! Practical things aren’t usually the most welcome gifts. But it’s quite different when the gift is handmade with lots of love. That’s why these pretty potholders with the flamingos in love make a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day / Father’s Day or a birthday. The potholders are knitted in doubleface, making them nice and dense and great to look at from both sides.

For eco-conscious moms:

The “Mama” shopping net is sustainable and practical. It can be rolled up small, but is roomy and sturdy enough to hold even heavier groceries. The net is crocheted in filet technique (= only chain stitches and double crochet) and is therefore easy and quick to finish. There is a counting chart for the pattern, but every round is also described stitch by stitch.

For moms who are always cold:

With a grain pillow that is warmed in the microwave, you can warm up quickly and easily when you are cold. With this pretty,heart-shaped pillow cover in popcorn stitch
it can also stay on the sofa as a decorative cushion. It will be about 20 x 20 cm. Because of the different textures, the front and back give off different amounts of warmth.

For hobby cooks:

Who prefers to cook, Mom or Dad? On the gingerbread heart potholder you can add your very own personal message of love for Mom or Dad. It’s very easy, because the lettering is simply made from foundation chains that are shaped accordingly and sewn on.


For bookworms:

A beautiful scarf is always well received. This one is knitted from the softest cashmere. It has knitted-in rocaille beads along the edges as decoration.



Triangular Shawl with Beaded Edge
If you prefer a triangular shawl, you could also knit one from the same soft cashmere yarn. What makes this one special is that the point is elongated, giving it a lengthening look when worn. The edge again has knitted-in rocaille beads.



Lace Shawl for Beginners
This shawl features a beautiful color gradient that comes directly from the ball of yarn. It is easy to knit using just 2 rows that repeat over and over. You can wear it open for festive occasions or wrapped/knotted.

Many older ladies often suffer from cold feet. That’s why they need warm slippers. These felt moccasins are warm, soft, have a cushioned step, and adapt to any foot shape. Nothing pinches. You can also insert your own insoles.

You can also give your feet an extra portion of warmth with the right soles. These insoles are knitted from felting wool and then cut to the right shoe size. They insulate the warmth of the foot against the cold from below. You can put them in any shoes.

Oh, I forgot the lovely wrist warmers. They also make a nice gift for a fashion-conscious lady.

For moms who knit or crochet, you could give, for example, a craft bucket like this—preferably filled with some lovely yarn and a knitting magazine. It is crocheted from colorful leftover yarn. A plastic bucket is hidden inside, which we cover in a practical way. You can put your current craft project in it and settle down anywhere with it. You always have everything ready to hand.

This practical yarn basket with a sturdy base and fun bobbles in the pattern is a little smaller.
Stored like this, every knitting or crochet project feels right at home, and it always looks tidy.

Yes, men want warm feet too—for example, in these felted moccasins. Of course, you can also knit them in “fresher” colors, but from my own experience I know ... they should be more muted colors.

This is the warmer version of the felted shoes. Here, too, you’re on the safe side with gray, anthracite, or blue.
