We have lots of snow and SUNSHINE :-) I hope you do too!? After a wonderful walk through the magical winter landscape, it’s time to “warm up,” and as soon as your hands are warm again—grab those knitting needles!

Since winter really means business this year, it’s still well worth knitting cozy accessories. The featured models are all knitted in double-face and are therefore extra dense and warm. They can also be worn on both sides. For detailed info and the respective pattern, please click the link under the corresponding image.

Oh man,...
it's nasty and cold outside.... because of coronavirus, it's best to stay home.
What are you supposed to do then...
How about a great new crochet project.
In my shop you'll find some great patterns that are quick and easy
to make.
Why not stop by

There is, for example, the little lamb Emely, which recently moved into my shop.

Or Dragon Fridolin. He is more for advanced crocheters.

Unicorn Fiona is easy to make; you can crochet her in two different ways.
With a horn as Unicorn Fiona or without a horn as a pony.

I would be happy to welcome you to my shop.
Best regards
Monika

Knitting needles are a must on the weekend. Smaller projects are finished quickly, and you don’t lose interest in them as quickly. Surely you know a doll mom, or maybe you are one yourself, right? Then I can show you a selection that even includes something for teddy bears.

This top-down raglan sweater for teddy bears (45-60 cm tall) is very easy and quick to knit. With small adjustments, it even fits babies.

This sweet romper with a button placket (top-down raglan) fits dolls or teddy bears about 45-50 cm tall. It’s already a joy to knit—and even more so to give as a gift or put on!

Everything is explained clearly, so you’ll be guided smoothly through the knitting process.

There is also a romper for the smaller teddy bears or dolls (25-30 cm), which is knitted as a top-down raglan. It simply pulls on over the head. I explain in the pattern how the cuff stays nice and stretchy so that this is possible.

The crazy chickens can be crocheted from colorful leftover yarn and used, sitting on a perch, as original hanging decorations on doors and walls, or individually as edge sitters or gift decorations. They make a lovely gift for chicken fans and crazy little chickens:

Difficulty level: easy, suitable for beginners with a little practice

This cheerful caterpillar made from sponge yarn is sure to make the evening bath time even more fun for babies and toddlers.
But adults can also use the caterpillar as a fun sponge for bathing and showering.

The caterpillar is a colorful eye-catcher in any bathroom and can be crocheted quickly and easily—even by beginners—using leftover sponge yarn.

The mole was the Animal of the Year in 2020. Crochet Poldi the Mole as a reminder of this memorable year. You can use cotton yarn
(on the left in the picture) or velvety-soft fine chenille yarn (on the right).
In both cases, you'll get a cute little companion. With the
suggested yarn, Poldi will be about 13 cm tall. If you want him to be larger,
simply use a thicker yarn.

He is at home in the garden too: Ingo the Hedgehog! Don't worry, he doesn't prick at all, because his "spines" are very fine and soft. After all, Ingo wants to be cuddled plenty. That's why the rest of his body is velvety soft too, because he is crocheted with chenille yarn. Ingo is about the same size as Poldi, so he goes wonderfully with him.

The third in the group is Kiki the Squirrel. Kiki is the same size too. He is crocheted with reddish-brown cotton yarn. The tail turns out especially nice and bushy if you use long-haired fringe yarn (e.g., Peppina by Lana Grossa).

All three animals can be crocheted with leftover yarn, because you need less than 1 skein for each one. If you place them together on a shelf, you'll have an especially cute decoration.

We are two Finkli (baby shoes) and we belong together, which is why we are called a pair of Finkli or baby shoes. We are soft and keep little feet nice and warm. The babies who get us don’t want any others and are happy to wear us. We are quick to knit and super brilliantly easy to make. Here, colorful and bright leftover yarns are very welcome, which is perfect for mixing and matching. That is not the end of our story! It continues in an exciting way at the following link:

The “Kunterbunt” shopping net is also cheerful and colorful. It stands out with its clever mesh pattern—this beautiful bag is a wonderful everyday helper, a great gift, eco-friendly, and perfect for using up leftover yarn. Of course, you can make the handles any length you like.

What craft project would I recommend to my best friend for the weekend? Well, the selection is huge, but I spontaneously decided on these 3 suggestions. Maybe there’s something here for you.

Best wishes and have a lovely weekend — Ina

Doll clothes: skirt with flounce and matching top

You’re sure to find a few leftover yarns in your stash for these pretty doll clothes. You can crochet the full, flowing skirt in any length you like. The matching top completes the set. Both pieces close at the back with snaps. You can also crochet them wonderfully ahead of time and then give them as Easter gifts.

Fingerless mitts with decorative cable

Here we need 50 or 60 g of yarn, and from that we can knit ourselves a pair of enchanting fingerless mitts over a weekend. There’s a beautiful cable on the top, and the insides are smooth. The thumb gusset is shaped, so they fit well. Ideal for young girls and women who want to keep their little fingers free to use their phones :-)

Pillow “African Flowers”

That would also be a lovely project for the weekend that you could start now. One weekend probably won’t be enough for it, but you have to crochet lots and lots of hexagons first anyway. It’s a lot of fun, and it gets more and more colorful. Then we crochet the hexagons together into a one-of-a-kind pillow cover. A beautiful decoration for the couch or the children’s room.

The “Luftikus” cowl is quick to knit with 350m per 100g.
The pattern is explained in detail and is absolutely beginner-friendly.

The best part is that it can be worn either way.
