For the weekend, I’m showing you designs that are easy even for advanced beginners to make, since you only need to know knit and purl stitches.

Knitting pattern for a baby blanket - Cable look without a cable needle

The blanket can easily be knitted larger or smaller in size.

Knitting pattern for a turtleneck collar

This design is knitted with circular knitting needles and is an alternative to a loop scarf or scarf, as it also keeps the neck and shoulder area warm.

Knitting pattern for a scarf

It starts with a point and also ends with a point. The pattern flies off the needles and is a tremendous amount of fun.

How about knitting this pretty eye-catching headband made of merino wool this weekend? It’s much easier than it looks with the front cable twist. The headband can also be worn as a loop scarf if it gets too warm on your head.

A pretty pair of wrist warmers with a “faux cable” can also be knitted wonderfully over the weekend. The cable effect is created very simply with knit and purl stitches. Feminine, warm, and also an eye-catcher. Good knitting experience is recommended here. The knitting pattern includes a chart.

For men who don’t really like wearing a regular scarf, this scarf could be the solution. It doesn’t slip out of place, since everything is securely connected. Just pull it on like a loop scarf—and you’re done. There’s also a matching hat to go with it. My husband was really excited about this idea and has enjoyed wearing his scarf ever since.

Easy to make if you have good knitting experience.

Today I’d like to introduce you to three villains from my hand puppet collection, who play an important role in Kasperl theater. Maybe you’d like to make one of them. The puppets aren’t hard to crochet. You can use leftover yarn and give each character its own personality, which I think is especially fun with the “bad guys.”

First we have
the witch Wackelzahn.
She is always up to no good and will use any means to annoy others. Her magical powers help her with that. Unfortunately, she isn’t particularly clever, so Kasperl and his friends keep outwitting her.

Always on the prowl is
the robber.
He constantly feels shortchanged, and when he sees something he likes, he absolutely wants to have it and steal it. Unfortunately, he keeps getting caught and therefore usually ends up in jail.

 The devil
is the one who keeps trying to persuade the good characters to do something evil. The robber and the witch are always willing to listen, but sometimes the naive Seppel falls for his tricks too.

Of course, there are also good characters in my Hand Puppets collection. Come and take a look—you’re sure to find something here that you can crochet too!

I have something lovely for you that anyone can easily crochet from their thick leftover yarn: a doorstop. Everyone knows this situation: sometimes all the doors are open and there’s a draft, or you want to leave the house quickly and the door swings shut. That doesn’t have to happen. That’s what a doorstop is for. It should look nice and, above all, keep the door firmly in place.

If you use beautiful gradient yarn, it will look lovely even without a complicated pattern.

Maybe you also need something warm to wear? Perhaps a loop scarf for yourself, the kids, or your husband? No problem with this pattern. You can knit this versatile loop scarf for the whole family. With gradient yarn, the interesting pattern comes directly from the ball of yarn, but solid-colored versions have their charm too.

Or would you prefer something for your hands? A pair of wrist warmers would be good - your fingers definitely need to stay free so you can use your phone, right? Then maybe these. We knit a beautiful cable pattern on the back of the hand. The thumb gusset is well shaped so they fit perfectly.

I wish you lots of fun with your handicraft projects and a lovely weekend.
Warm regards from Ina

Shades of Understatement is a great weekend project. With just 200 g of yarn with a yardage of 250 m per 100 g, it knits up quickly.
The patterns are simple and explained in detail.

Christmas is just around the corner, and you absolutely need these amazing Christmas ornaments for your holiday decorations.
Of course, they also make great little gifts and are super quick to make—even for beginners.

"Fiona" the unicorn is still looking for someone to cuddle with and is suitable for beginners.

Little doll "Lilly" and rocker "Pauli" are also looking for a new home.

If you have to stay home anyway, at least have fun while you’re there. With this scarf, the color comes straight from the skein and puts you in a good mood even while you’re crocheting. The pattern is simple and straightforward.

Now the season of dreary weather is beginning. As soon as the leaves have been blown from the trees, we start longing for something green again. With the Jane triangular shawl, you can conjure up a fresh touch of green around your neck.

It’s pretty gloomy outside here today… So a colorful project is just the thing to brighten up the house a bit. That’s why today I’m showing you cheerful patterns that you can knit in your favorite colors. All the featured patterns are knitted in Doubleface.

Pattern for the “Cheeky Sheep” Reversible Beanie - This reversible beanie is super cozy and a fun eye-catcher. My daughter doesn’t want to take it off at all ;-) The hat size is easily adjustable to the required circumference.

Pattern for the “Flamingo Love” pot holders - these two flamingos are already looking forward to hot pots and pans in your kitchen! As long as they have nothing to do, they’ll just canoodle a bit and look pretty while they’re at it.

Pattern for the “Elo Elephant” comfort blanket / washcloth - this cute elephant is looking for a little friend to cuddle with. Elo isn’t too proud to wipe a dirty little mouth now and then. For older kids, he likes to keep their eyes dry while they wash their hair :-)

Sonja wishes you lots of fun crafting!
