What would I want to crochet or knit to relax? Very clear: it has to be a simple pattern that practically knits itself and lets me switch off. Here are my favorites for relaxing crafting for you. For more pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the headings.

Crocheted mosaic blanket made of squares
We crochet loooots of colorful squares, each one always exactly the same. That’s totally relaxing because you can simply crochet without having to think much. At the end, all the squares are crocheted together, then add a border around it, and a beautiful blanket is finished.
Knitting pattern: Timeless (baby) blanket made of merino wool
You can knit this blanket for your children or grandchildren without any worries. It is knitted from very soft merino wool and can also be washed in the washing machine. The relaxing part here is that the pattern is nice and easy to follow. The main pattern consists of 4 repeating pattern rows. You can memorize that quickly and then simply slip into “relaxing knitting mode.” The children and parents will love the blanket because it is wonderfully cuddly, soft, and warm.
Crocheted pillow “African Flowers”
This is also a lovely project for relaxing. We crochet lots of hexagons—always made the same way, just in different colors. That is totally relaxing, and you enjoy every new finished hexagon. At the end, these are crocheted together. The cushion cover buttons up, so it is washable.
