Oh Ruth, those are spookily beautiful fall decorations. For me, it’s more about the cozy side of fall. What do you need for that? Of course, something warm to wear. So here are my fall recommendations. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.
Warm regards from Ina

Universal Cowl for the Whole Family
You can knit it in any color and for the whole family. The beautiful colorful pattern appears right as you knit if you follow my yarn recommendation. But the cowl also looks great in a solid color.
Wrist Warmers
These are just right for fall, too. Your hands stay warm and you can still use your phone while you’re out and about. Even blowing your nose on the train is much easier with them, since you don’t have to take off any gloves. The wrist warmers have a beautiful cable pattern on top and are knitted in stockinette stitch on the inside. The thumb gusset is worked out precisely for a good fit.
Poncho
This universal poncho is great to wear in fall. Just throw it on, feel comfortable, and stay warm. It can be knitted for any size. We knit it as a top-down raglan. The cables and the edging all around are a lovely eye-catcher. You can make the hat or leave it out.
One-Step Felted Booties
They are the first choice against cold feet, which you can easily get in fall. They are knitted in one piece and felted in the washing machine. I just made a pair for my friend in size 40 in moss green with a gray cuff. You can make them in all sizes.
Felted Boots with Cuff
If you’d like something even more colorful, simply choose this model. Here you first knit the felted shoe, which can also be worn as ballet flats, and then sew on a colorful cuff. The cuff covers the ankles so the foot stays ideally warm. You can make this model in all sizes as well.
First ballet flats ...
then felted boots with cuff:
Felted Moccasins
Or maybe you prefer this version in a classic moccasin shape?
Felted Insoles
If you still have felting wool left over from knitting felted shoes, you can use it to make felted insoles yourself for rubber boots, clogs, or winter boots. It’s very easy and also very useful. The felted insoles are the buffer between the cold from below and your foot. That way you always have dry, warm feet.
Finally, here are a few outfits for the little dolls. They, too, are hanging their summer wardrobe in the closet and need something warmer.
How about a lovely
turtleneck sweater?
You can knit it as long as you like. It is knitted as a top-down raglan. Maybe your little daughter will be happier to wear her turtleneck sweater afterward too ;-)
Or maybe you’d prefer something a bit more fairy-tale-like? Then I’m happy to recommend the
"Ice Princess’s Coat". It is also knitted as a top-down raglan.
