Herzibär, my shop’s mascot, is a great gift for everyone who loves each other from the bottom of their hearts. With his heart-shaped eyes, he looks at you with innocent charm and can’t wait for you to crochet him.
The following materials were used for Herzibär:
- approx. 50 g Rico Baby Teddy Aran (LL 50 g / 135 m) color light pink
- approx. 20 g Woll Butt Diana cotton yarn, size 10 (LL 100 g / 560 m)
- 3.0 mm crochet hook
- 2 heart-shaped buttons, white/red, 1.5 cm in diameter
- 1 red heart button, 1.2 cm in diameter
- Craft batting
- 1 small piece of red felt
- 1 fabric scrap (approx. 30 x 30 cm) with a heart pattern
- Hot glue and glue gun or craft glue
Using this yarn, Herzibär will be about 25 cm tall. He also looks very cute if you crochet him using chenille yarn. If you use thicker yarn, Herzibär will be a bit bigger. In that case, you might also need larger heart buttons for the eyes and nose.
Herzibär isn’t hard to crochet. The pattern provides detailed instructions on the best way to crochet with teddy yarn.
