How about crocheting some great doll shoes from your leftover yarn?
Or do you like cold feet in fall and winter? They’re quick to crochet, too.
Plus, you can give them as gifts—bright children’s eyes are your thanks.

A granny square is quick to crochet and requires very little yarn. It can often be made in several colors, too. An entire blanket can even be nice and colorful.

In Granny Number 5, the center forms a flower. In the pattern, you’ll find a written explanation of the individual rounds, and I’ve also provided a simple crochet chart.

This granny square can also be crocheted well with various yarn scraps. You can create blankets, appliqués, pillows, and much more with a granny square.

Granny Number 3 is the same size as Number 5. There are 8 different granny squares in total, all of which have the same number of stitches in the final round. This lets you crochet a wonderful blanket with a mix of patterns.

Here you’ll find all the granny squares at a glance

Small baby shoes require very little yarn. With this model, you can knit the sole, shaft, and cuff in different colors very nicely. The little shoes are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and you should already have some practice with a cable needle.

This blanket is very well suited for leftovers from your yarn stash. You start in the middle, so its size can be easily adjusted to your desired size.

Scrap projects are something wonderful! You can always find a little ball of yarn, and you can conjure up something beautiful from it. Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift. I like to crochet and knit little things to keep on hand and give them as a warm greeting to nice people. That has the advantage that the other person is happy, and my scraps are put to good use.

I hope you have lots of fun window-shopping and making these projects. You’ll find more example photos, information, and the pattern itself by clicking on the headings.

Warm regards from Ina

This little sweater for teddy bears (25–30 cm) is perfect for knitting with leftover yarn. It’s worked with raglan sleeves starting from the bottom. Each step is explained in detail, so even beginners with some knitting experience can manage it. I designed it for my Fynn.

For this tissue box cover, all you need are a few colorful scraps of yarn, which you can easily crochet into a pretty accessory. There are no limits to your color creativity. Decorated with butterflies and hearts, it also makes a delightful gift that’s sure to be well received.

Isn’t Ingo the hedgehog cute? If you have some leftover chenille yarn (or cotton yarn) and fringe yarn (20–25 g of each is enough), you can crochet this adorable hedgehog right away and incorporate him into your fall decor. Ingo is about 14 cm tall.
You can find the crochet pattern for Ingo here!

The chestnuts in the picture above are from the crochet pattern for the Chestnut Child:
This little autumn child measures about 12 cm tall and also makes a beautiful decoration for a seasonal table. Because it has a wire inside, you can bend the Chestnut Child’s arms and legs to make it sit, stand, lie down, or walk—just as you like.

Knitting pattern for doll shoes

Knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, these little shoes have a sole length of approx. 6–7.5 cm, depending on yarn length and needle size.

Crochet pattern for a balloon cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted and sewn together at the end. A hidden opening is crocheted so the balloon can be replaced.

With this flower garland , you can decorate your window or use it as a wall or door decoration. Either way, it’s a great opportunity to use up some of your scrap cardstock.

The garland is made of cardstock and is about 70 cm long. The large flower is about 18 cm, and the small ones are about 12 cm. The decorative garland is very easy to make and is well suited even for beginners.

Coasters Fanny
little scrap busters

-- to the pattern --

The cheerfully colorful coasters are a great project for in between; each coaster requires just under 10 g of cotton yarn.

With basic crochet skills these coasters are quick to crochet.
As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and describes step by step all 3 versions (2-color, 3-color, 4-color).

Just under 10 g of cotton yarn (e.g., Gründl Cotton Fun, yardage 115 m/50 g) was crocheted per coaster.
They have a diameter of approx. 11 cm.

Owl Bag Enni
ideal for lots of colorful leftovers

-- to the pattern --

A great stash-busting project that can also be crocheted fairly quickly.

The pattern explains step by step with lots of photos how you can crochet the bag.
Only basic crochet skills are needed, so the bag is also a great beginner project.

The bag used a good 100 g of cotton yarn (e.g., Gründl Cotton Fun, 115 m/50 g). It is 16 cm wide and 19 cm tall.
