Whoa, here comes the ravenous crocodile!

No puppet show is complete without a crocodile! Even young children have fun bringing it to life with their little hands and “scaring” their parents with it. The timid ones quickly lose their fear when they hear that the poor crocodile is just always hungry—once it’s full, it’s completely peaceful.

The crocodile isn’t hard to crochet.
You’ll need:
  • 70 g Catania cotton yarn by Schachenmayr (125 m / 50 g) in green
  • Scraps of cotton yarn in yellow, white, black, and red
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Craft stuffing
  • Wool needle

Does your child also dislike falling asleep in the dark?

Then crochet this beautiful guardian angel night light for them! The little angel measures 20 cm and stands on a battery-operated LED light. The gentle light is soothing, but doesn’t disturb healthy sleep. This way, the little angel watches over your darling’s sleep and chases away bad dreams.

To make it, you’ll need:

  • approx. 15 g Catania cotton yarn by Schachenmayr (yardage 125m/50g, color soft apricot)
  • approx. 15 g Catania glamour cotton yarn by Schachenmayr (yardage 125m/50g, color cream)
  • approx. 10 g Primo doll yarn by Woll Butt (yardage 50m/50g, color natural)
  • approx. 10 g size 5 filet crochet thread (yardage 400m/100g, color natural)
  • leftover Glitter by Gründl (yardage 110m/25g, color silver)
  • leftover Creative Bubble by Rico (yardage 90m/50g, color silver)
  • stuffing
  • crochet hook, 2.5 mm
  • crochet hook 3.0 mm
  • crochet hook 4.0 mm
  • 1 sheet of white tracing paper, A4 size
  • glue
  • 1 (underwater) LED light (Itian) with color changing and remote control
Maybe you already have some suitable leftover yarn at home? Then you can get started right away!

Who wouldn’t want to simply fly away from all their worries in a balloon, just like the little mouse?

This pretty decoration looks especially good in a window or in a child’s room. The balloon has a diameter of 15 cm. The mouse is 9 cm tall and can be taken out of the basket for playing.

The following materials are required:
  • 50 g each of cotton yarn (yardage approx. 125 m/50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr) in light gray, mint,
    natural
  • Leftover Estivo II in light gray (can also be replaced with Catania light gray)
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • Polyester stuffing
  • Styrofoam ball, 15 cm in diameter,
  • optional safety eyes
  • 1 thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
  • 1 pointed embroidery needle for embroidering the nose (and eyes)
  • Sturdy black thread for the mouse’s whiskers
  • Black embroidery floss
  • optional small cardboard tube (toilet paper roll) to reinforce the basket

This cute doll sweater with a side button placket is very popular. It fits dolls and teddy bears measuring 40–50 cm, including Baby Born. Even small newborns can fit into it.

Easy to knit, with raglan from the top down.

This circular collar / shoulder warmer is also delighting users. It’s great and easy for beginners with basic skills to make. The pattern is written very simply—with no abbreviations.

Many delighted users have already made this cute little pinafore dress. The special thing about it: it grows with the child from ages 1.5 to 5. During that time, it can be transformed very easily. Plus, it’s easy to knit. The knitted-in little hearts are created with knit and purl stitches.

Cable look without a cable needle

This scarf is knitted using only knit and purl stitches, making it easy to make even for knitters who are not yet very experienced.

Knitting pattern for a scarf - worked only with knit and purl stitches. What makes it special are the points at the beginning and at the end.

Knitting pattern for baby shoes

The little shoes are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles. You should already have some practice with a cable needle; then these little shoes are quickly knitted from leftover yarn and make a lovely gift.

Crochet pattern for an oval basket

Because of the pattern, the basket is not suitable for beginners, but anyone who loves a challenge will enjoy crocheting it. Depending on the yardage and hook size, the basket can measure 20–23 cm.

Crochet pattern for a balloon cover

Individual granny squares are crocheted and then sewn together at the end. A hidden opening is crocheted so the balloon can be replaced. A wonderful, soft ball for indoors and outdoors.

Crochet pattern for a granny square - whether for a pillow or a blanket, whether solid-colored or colorful, a granny square is wonderfully versatile.

This is one of 8 granny squares that can be combined beautifully with one another — they all have the same stitch count in the final round.
