Who wouldn’t love to drift away through the air in a balloon right now, just like the little mouse does?
Well, even if that’s not possible, we can still capture our longing in a crochet project.

To crochet this pretty window decoration, you will need:
  • 50 g each cotton yarn (yardage approx. 125 m/50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr) in the colors light gray, mint,
    natural
  • leftover Estivo II in light gray (can also be replaced with Catania light gray)
  • crochet hook size 2.5
  • polyester stuffing for filling
  • Styrofoam ball, diameter 15 cm,
  • optional safety eyes
  • 1 thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
  • 1 sharp embroidery needle for embroidering the nose (and eyes)
  • sturdy black thread for the mouse’s whiskers
  • black embroidery floss
  • optional small cardboard tube (toilet paper roll) to reinforce the basket
Of course, you can also crochet the balloon in other colors, just the way you like it best.
The balloon has a diameter of 15 cm, and the mouse will be about 9 cm tall

This cute dish sponge shaped like a ladybug is super easy to crochet and adds a splash of color to your kitchen.
It’s also very practical and sustainable: thanks to its slightly scratchy texture, the sponge yarn used (e.g., Creative Bubble by Rico) is perfect for rinsing away food scraps without scratching your dishes. (Don’t worry—the yarn is very comfortable to work with and doesn’t scratch!) The sponge can be washed at 60 degrees and dries quickly. This means it’s hygienically clean and ready to use again in no time. You can also use it in the bathroom as an exfoliating sponge.

You can crochet beautiful bookmarks from leftover yarn.

For this dragon, you only need 2 different colors. It’s not hard to crochet, but it is a bit time-consuming. Still, the result is well worth the effort and is sure to draw plenty of admiration. A great little gift for anyone who loves knights and fantasy stories!

A colorful little summer skirt like this for little girls (ages 3–4) can also be knitted nicely from leftover yarn. It’s just right for the upcoming warmer season.

“Frühlingsleuchten” is a gorgeous triangular shawl made from 200g of Fine Merino Socks. Of course, you can also use any other yarn with a yardage of 400m per 100g.
The patterns are explained in detail and are mostly illustrated with charts.

Knitted baby booties with a beautiful cable pattern

these booties are knitted using a set of double-pointed needles and a cable needle. You should already have some practice with both.

In terms of size, the booties have a sole length of 9–11.5 cm, depending on the needle size and the yarn’s yardage.

Knitting pattern for a blanket

Cable look without a cable needle - this design is knitted using only knit and purl stitches.

For the size, I have given the stitch count in the pattern for a baby blanket, but you can easily calculate the blanket up to your desired size.

The beautiful lilies come in many colors. I especially like them in light pink, but of course you can make them in any other color.

The lily blossoms are made from photo cardstock, and aluminum wire and crepe paper are also needed for the flowers. The lilies are about 35 cm tall, they are very quick and easy to craft, and they are also well suited for skillful beginners.

The large, plump heart made from fluffy sponge yarn is both a lovely eye-catcher and a practical bath sponge, and it’s very easy to crochet, even for beginners.

The heart also makes a lovely gift, for example paired with a pleasantly scented shower gel.
