Being at home is boring? It doesn’t have to be!

Hand-crocheted hand and finger puppets inspire creativity in several ways. First of all, you need a pattern, e.g. this one:
Value Pack - 6 Hand Puppets

or this one, if you’d rather crochet finger puppets:
Value Pack - 10 Finger Puppets

With these, you can crochet important hand puppets for puppet theater. Then you pick out the yarn from your leftover yarn. The kids can already help decide which colors the characters should wear. Then it’s time to crochet, and you can definitely deviate a little from the pattern. Here, too, the kids can contribute their ideas. When decorating and embellishing the characters, they can even lend a hand themselves.

And then comes the best part: putting on a theater show! Little everyday situations, fairy tales, and adventures—make up funny plays yourselves and perform them all together as a family! It’s fun and drives away boredom! And this way, fears that many children surely have because of the unfamiliar situation can also be worked through.

If you’re looking for even more patterns for hand and finger puppets, you can find them here in my store:
even more hand puppets
or even more finger puppets

A little tip to finish: Very small children often get along better with finger puppets because they can’t yet hold and move the larger hand puppets very well. Finger puppets, on the other hand, only need to be slipped onto one or two fingers.

How about a very creative project made from spool-knitted cords? You can make wonderful, brightly colored rugs from them. First we crochet a mesh. Then, using a mechanical knitting spool, we crank out lots of cords, which we then thread into the mesh. Every rug will be one of a kind.

Spool-Knitted Rug

Or you can crochet a few games with game pieces and a matching bagyourself. The games can be washed, which is very practical.

Or my third suggestion for a creative handicraft: the Rustico Basket

It is crocheted with multiple strands, creating ever-new color effects. A plastic clothesline runs along the inside. That makes the basket sturdy and stable. Size and curve are variable.

I hope you have lots of fun with your new creative project.

Best wishes, Ina

You can get especially creative when crocheting these scrap gobblers. All kinds of leftover bits and pieces can go into them, and you can even use up empty toilet paper rolls. These scrap gobblers are a great idea for children’s birthday parties, because they can easily be filled with little surprises or given away as gifts. Afterwards, they can hold knitting needles, crochet hooks, or similar items.

With color and shapes, the most beautiful blankets can be created here.

Individual flowers are crocheted and joined to the beautifully crocheted ones right in the last round. This way, you can keep changing the shape as you crochet until you reach the finished size.

In the pattern, you’ll find lots of pictures and also a crochet chart. Of course, the individual rounds are also explained in writing.

Colorful Easter gifts definitely need equally colorful gift wrapping, and this bag is perfect for that!

The gift bag is quite large: The main compartment measures approximately 12.3 x 19 x 8.3 cm and has enough room for candy, a small stuffed animal, and similar items. The bag is easy to make and well-suited even for beginners.

Of course, the color combination shown is just a suggestion—you can let your imagination run wild here!

If you’d like to decorate your windows for Easter, these window picture eggs could be a great fit.
The color scheme shown here is just a suggestion: which colors of transparent paper you use to cover the egg motifs is entirely up to you.

The Easter eggs are made from photo cardboard and transparent paper; the large ones are approx. 10 x 12.7 cm, the small ones approx. 7.3 x 9 cm, and they are all very easy to make.

With this stylish chocolate box, you can play with colors to your heart’s content and customize it to suit your taste, the occasion, or even the recipient’s preferences.

The box is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 9.5 x 5.5 x 9.5 cm. As a chocolate box, it is suitable for four chocolates of approximately 3–3.5 cm in diameter, but it can also be used without the inner compartments, e.g. as a storage container. The box is very easy to make and is well suited even for crafters with little experience.
