The more colorful, the prettier

Storage basket You can never have enough. All kinds of odds and ends can find a place in it.

You should know how to work single crochet, chain stitches, half and full double crochet. You can crochet around tin cans and jars with a straight rim.

Dishcloths are a great way to use up your leftover cotton yarn. Each row in a different color. Here, too, you’ll need to know single crochet, chain stitches, half and full double crochet.

These cloths also work well as trivets or potholders.

You can find the crochet pattern here

Do you have lots of leftover yarn and love bright colors? Then this blanket is just right for you. Individual flowers are crocheted and joined together in the final round as you go.

This takes you to the crochet pattern

Easter decorations are wonderful to crochet from leftover yarn!

A sweet Easter decoration that you can crochet from just a few leftover yarn scraps are the “Heartfelt Chickens.” Their bodies are shaped like hearts, as are their feet. The chickens are very easy to crochet and can hang on the Easter branches, decorate the window or a wall for Easter, be used as flower picks or gift tags... or so much more—there are no limits to your imagination!

Here is the crochet pattern for the “Heartfelt Chickens”

Just as versatile to use, easy to crochet, and also made from the smallest amounts of colorful leftover yarn are the “Colorful Bunnies”:

They look especially cute on the Easter branches, but they also make a great table decoration or a little addition to an Easter basket.

Here is the crochet pattern for the “Colorful Bunnies”

The “Colorful Little Birds” go perfectly with them:

The little tails are made from guinea fowl feathers in colors that match the body. To make sure the birds can stand securely, they get feet made from floral pick wire. If you want to hang them on the Easter branches or anywhere else, you can also leave off the feet.

Here’s the crochet pattern for the “Colorful Little Birds”

This collar-scarf is knitted from leftover yarn. Here, I was able to turn leftover Baby Merino yarn into a practical and warm accessory. This piece also works great in sock yarn, as you can clearly see.

A little pair of leggings for a baby doll (40-50 cm) that is sure to delight the little doll mommy. After all, she wants to dress her little darling just as nicely as a real baby.

These leggings are great to knit with leftover yarn, in any color combination.

This summer outfit for sporty teddies (25-30 cm) is also great to knit with leftover yarn. I knitted it for my Fynn, and it looks great on him.

Is a child in your circle of friends starting school this year?
Then this fish-shaped math aid is a great idea.

And if you know a fish and aquarium fan, you can make it into an Advent calendar mobile—the fish’s mouths are perfect for holding tasty little treats. Just crochet a fish every now and then, and you’ll easily be finished by December.

Using colorful leftover yarn, you can quickly and easily crochet your very own sea of flowers

The flowers can be combined in new ways again and again and used in many different ways. For example
- as decoration,
- as scattered flowers,
- as appliqués on scarves, bags, hats, boot cuffs, pillowcases, curtain tiebacks, door wreaths, or
- as keychains or bag charms...
And of course on birthday cards and lovingly wrapped gifts.

Difficulty level: easy, suitable for beginners with a little practice
Basic crochet skills used: starting with a magic ring, chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet and treble crochet, increases, decreases

The very detailed pattern includes the written crochet pattern and crochet charts for the different flowers, and of course lots of photos that show you step by step how to crochet these flowers and combine them in new ways again and again.

You can find the crochet pattern for the decorative flowers here
