I'm not sure what makes a wonderful vacation for you. For me, there are definitely a few things I wouldn't want to do without. I'll just show them to you. If you want to see or read more about them, and to get to the pattern, click the link in the heading.
I hope you enjoy your window shopping and your summer vacation preparations.
Warm greetings from Ina
You always need something to wear—and especially on vacation. Something small, uncomplicated, for example ....
Summer Poncho
--> simply throw it on and look good, figure-flattering, easy to knit, goes with dresses and jeans
“Featherlight” Loop
--> the absolute best piece in my wardrobe; you can wear it anywhere it gets a bit drafty or when you need a little touch of softness and warmth. The loop made from cashmere/silk wool weighs only 50 g and fits in any handbag.
The slim ones among you can also wear it as a bolero:
Lace Shawl for Beginners
--> another faithful companion for vacation. You can simply wear the shawl open or wrapped and knotted; it goes with dresses and pants, and the play of colors comes straight from the ball of yarn
Or perhaps a
magical scarf made from cashmere wool with beads?
--> You can always have it with you, because it weighs only 50 g and fits in any handbag. It feels wonderfully soft on the skin and keeps you warm despite its delicacy, because we knit it from cashmere wool. The beads along the edge are a decorative eye-catcher.
One thing that must never be missing from my vacation luggage is this
short poncho. It doesn't look as old-fashioned as a cardigan, and you are quickly dressed/warmed up. The sleeves don't get in the way during activities either, for example when you're sitting on the beach for dinner in the evening. Somehow it's an uncomplicated garment that is also breathable because of the wool.
And when you come back to the hotel room in the evening after a stroll through town, your feet need to feel cozy and soft too. There's nothing better for that than felt slippers. These simply have to go into your vacation luggage; they also pack down very small and can be squished into any corner.
How about the
felt slippers with homemade leather soles?
Works in all sizes: for children and adults, solid-colored or colorful ... after vacation, of course they're also great for home, daycare, or at Grandma and Grandpa's :-)
So, now that we've made things cozy when getting dressed, let's take a look at what good things we can do for the children or grandchildren traveling with us ....
Well, I would definitely recommend toys that have something to do with vacation. For the doll moms, that means summer outfits for their dolls. They'll be guaranteed to love beach blankets, bags, hats, swimsuits, etc. for their dolls. Take a look at what you like and simply put together your favorite items. Everything can also be combined beautifully.
Swimsuit
--> ideal for a beach vacation—just like the grown-ups, so the little ones
Beachwear
--> 6 pieces: bikini, skirt, bag, blanket ...
Summer Fashion
--> 6 pieces, everything your heart desires :-)
Easy Summer Dresses
--> fastened at the back with 3 snaps; a few yarn scraps are enough
And finally, something for the whole family: a few board games. They can all be rolled up, stored small, taken along, and washed. Crocheted game pieces and a bag are included.
