What nicer gift could you give a new little arrival than a cuddly blanket...

The blanket can be made with any yarn and hook size ; the pattern explains exactly how. Here, the blanket was made for boys in
shades of blue and for little princesses in shades of rose/pink. The
blankets shown in the pictures measure approx. 85 cm x 85 cm.

Materials needed:
  • For each blanket, 1200 m of 4-ply yarn with a beautiful color gradient was used here. The matching Bobbel yarn cakes
named "little girl" and "little boy" are available from Wollfamos. Of course, any other yarn can also be
    used
  • crochet hook suitable for the yarn used (I used hook size 3.5)

Knitted with lots of heart and love from cuddly soft merino wool - a baby can only feel comfortable in it. Easy to make for experienced knitters. There’s still enough time to finish it by Christmas.

Knitting pattern for a baby blanket

Cable look without a cable needle at all - this pattern is knitted using only knit and purl stitches.
I chose a seed stitch pattern for the border.

The pattern is written in detail, so even beginners can manage it well. You’ll also find a knitting chart if you prefer to work the pattern from that.

I used a merino yarn with a yardage of 160 m. Click here and you’ll go to the pattern

Suitable for crochet beginners, this pattern starts in the center like a granny square and is then continued in rounds until the desired size is reached.

You should already know chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. Click here to access the pattern.

This model is for experienced crocheters.

The pattern is explained in writing row by row, and you will also find a crochet chart. I used 3 different colors, but there are no limits to your imagination here.

Knowledge of single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, and half double crochet should be present.

Baby Blanket Lilly - a lovely gift for every new little earthling

-- to the pattern --

A wonderful gift - not just for Christmas - for new little earthlings and toddlers.

The pattern explains step by step with lots of photos how you can crochet the blanket. Only basic crochet skills are needed.
For advanced crocheters there are also crochet charts for the blanket and all the appliqués.

By turning Baby Mouse’s bow into a bow tie like Papa Mouse’s, you can very easily create a boy’s version.

For the blanket, I crocheted with approx. 550g of gradient yarn cake (4-ply, yardage 190m/50g).
The blanket measures 95cm x 95cm.

The Susi baby blanket is just the right size for any stroller.
The pattern of knit and purl stitches looks great on both sides, so you don’t have to worry about which side is up when using it.
With just 200g of Fine Merino Socks, the blanket knits up quickly; thanks to the small amount of polyester, it’s easy to care for and can even be machine-washed.
The size can easily be adjusted to your needs; the pattern is explained row by row and is also illustrated with a chart.

Here I’m showing you my grandson Oskar’s favorite blanket. Since his very first day on earth, he has been wrapped in it or covered with it. It’s simply always with him because it keeps him reliably warm, is breathable, and is lovely and soft. You can also wash it in the washing machine (without fabric softener, of course). You can knit it in 2 sizes. The pattern is very easy for even beginner knitters to make.

Timeless Baby Blanket Made from Merino Wool

Then I also knitted two others that are very fluffy. Besides normal use for the baby, I always like to use these when I want to photograph the little darling. Of course, the baby in the photo is not him, my sweet little grandson Oskar—but still a cute double. Here, too, I offer 2 sizes to knit. The 2 border variations can be chosen as you like. By the way, the blanket no longer sheds after the first wash (in the washing machine). It stays just as fluffy.

Fluffy Baby Blanket

When the baby is a little bigger and wants to play on the blanket, it can certainly be more colorful. And of course, a play blanket like this still needs to be machine washable. This one meets those requirements. You can crochet it in your favorite colors. We first crochet lots of squares, which we then crochet together. Don’t worry, as always I show and describe everything to you in great detail.

I wish you lots of joy with your new blanket project and a beautiful result.

Warm regards from Ina

The neutral and timeless “Kuscheleck” baby blanket truly lives up to its name.
Made with 200g of Fine Merino Socks yarn and a simple pattern of knit and purl stitches, it’s absolutely timeless and versatile.
It’s beautiful on both sides, so there’s no need to worry about a “right side.” The pattern is explained in detail and also illustrated with a chart.
