Here I’m showing you my grandson Oskar’s favorite blanket. Since his very first day on earth, he has been wrapped in it or covered with it. It’s simply always with him because it keeps him reliably warm, is breathable, and is lovely and soft. You can also wash it in the washing machine (without fabric softener, of course). You can knit it in 2 sizes. The pattern is very easy for even beginner knitters to make.

Then I also knitted two others that are very fluffy. Besides normal use for the baby, I always like to use these when I want to photograph the little darling. Of course, the baby in the photo is not him, my sweet little grandson Oskar—but still a cute double. Here, too, I offer 2 sizes to knit. The 2 border variations can be chosen as you like. By the way, the blanket no longer sheds after the first wash (in the washing machine). It stays just as fluffy.

When the baby is a little bigger and wants to play on the blanket, it can certainly be more colorful. And of course, a play blanket like this still needs to be machine washable. This one meets those requirements. You can crochet it in your favorite colors. We first crochet lots of squares, which we then crochet together. Don’t worry, as always I show and describe everything to you in great detail.
