There is also a matching hand puppet in the same design, so Christmas stories can be told even more vividly.

And so even the little ones can celebrate Christmas in their play kitchen, here is a pattern for delicious Christmas cookies. With it, you can crochet sweet Linzer cookies or mini jam cookies and also use them as decoration.

All patterns are suitable for ambitious beginners who have already crocheted the start in a magic ring as well as chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. For more information about the materials used, please visit the respective patterns.

I’m also happy to help if you have any questions and wish you lots of fun crocheting!

Santa Claus in his reindeer sleigh will accompany you throughout the entire Advent and Christmas season as a decoration. You can also use him wonderfully as an Advent calendar by filling the sack with a little surprise every evening. That way, no one will be tempted to open a present early ;-)  Since the individual parts aren’t permanently attached to each other and Santa has flexible arms and legs, you can also have him step out of the sleigh, put the sack on his back, and change up your decoration a little bit every day.
You can use leftover yarn to crochet Santa with all his accessories.
You’ll find the exact material list and crochet pattern here!

A nativity scene is simply part of Christmas! With hand-crocheted nativity figures, it becomes something very special and individual!

The figures are about 10 cm tall. You can crochet them from leftover yarn you already have, because you only need a very small amount of yarn for each figure. In the pattern, I noted for each figure which yarn I used and how much. That way you can easily estimate which of your leftover yarn is suitable for your personal nativity scene.

If you start now, you’ll have your own nativity scene by Christmas. It’s best to start with the most important figures, and if you don’t manage to finish everything, you can still add the rest over the coming year.

In my shop you’ll find the following patterns for this:

Mary, Joseph, Jesus in the manger, poinsettia, donkey and ox

Christmas angel, 3 different shepherds, 2 different sheep

The Three Wise Men, camel, elephant and horse

I hope you have lots of fun with this creative crochet project!

And little angels are, of course, part of Christmas too!
You can crochet this cute heavenly orchestra in no time from a few leftover yarn scraps. You can set up the little angels as an orchestra, as shown here (maybe next to the nativity scene?), or hang them individually on the Christmas tree. They’re also very popular as gift tags or little guardian angel keychains.

On Christmas morning, we all sit down happily at a festively set table. These cute Christmas egg cozies are a wonderful table decoration, even without eggs underneath. A few bits of leftover yarn in Christmas colors, and you’re ready to get started.

You can crochet the perfect pot cover for your poinsettia yourself. It’s sure to go down well as a gift too, with this packaging. You can also crochet a few scattered stars to place around it.

Easy to crochet.

Little gnomes are part of Christmas. These can also be used very well as an Advent calendar and filled with lots of surprises. Young and old alike will enjoy them.

The gnomes can be used as egg cozies or to store small treasures, for example buttons or craft supplies.

The gnome house can be filled on Christmas Eve, maybe even with Christmas cookies or other treats. Later, leftover yarn and crochet hooks can be stored in it. The gnome house can even be used as a bread basket. There are no limits to your imagination here.

Great for crocheting up lots of colorful leftover yarn. Easy, also suitable for beginners with basic knowledge.

Click here for the crochet pattern for the gnome set with gnome house (both are also available separately)

This Santa makes a funny Christmas decoration, because you can use him at Easter too. Excuse me?
Yes, really, because the Santa "Nikolausi-Osterhasi" is a reversible doll that, when turned inside out...
...turns quick as a wink into a little Easter bunny:
The "Nikolausi-Osterhasi" is not hard to crochet.
You’ll need:
  • Cotton yarn (yardage approx. 125 m/ 50 g, e.g. Catania by Schachenmayr or Camilla by Woll Butt) in light brown, light green, red, soft apricot
(about 1 skein of the red yarn, less than
one skein of the other colors.
  • Fluffy yarn (Doudou by Lang Yarns, yardage 155m / 50 g) leftover
  • Catania fine in white (leftover)
  • Crochet hook size 2.5
  • Polyester fiberfill for stuffing
  • Thick sewing needle for weaving in ends and sewing the pieces together
  • 1 sharp embroidery needle for embroidering the face
  • Embroidery floss in black, red, brown
  • optional safety eyes
...and you can get the crochet pattern here!

This year, too, I’ve crocheted snowflakes and stars for Christmas. The snowflakes make wonderful Christmas tree ornaments and
can also be used as coasters for tea lights. A great
Christmas gift. The pattern is suitable for beginners, so you can make a snowflake in no time. It uses very little yarn, making
it ideal for using up yarn scraps.

I’d like to suggest a wonderful decoration that can be made quickly and easily in three steps. First, you’ll need to do a
little crocheting, then fold it, and decorate everything with beads.
These decorations (approx. 8 cm x 10 cm) are perfect as Christmas tree ornaments!

Angels are, of course, part of Christmas too. But they also make a magical little gift as guardian angels.
In this pattern, the smaller angel is a shower sponge and the larger angel is a bath sponge.
Both angels are crocheted using sponge yarn.

With them, a touch of Christmas anticipation will move into your bathroom.

Difficulty level: Intermediate.
Only basic crochet stitches such as chain stitches, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, increases and decreases, and rounds are used, but you should also be able to skip several stitches and crochet a seam closed.
In addition to written instructions, the PDF pattern also includes photos and crochet charts for the slightly more challenging crochet sections.

You can find the pattern for the decorative and practical angels here

The pre-Christmas season is all about cozy evenings in the living room and on the sofa. The right decorations in the form of wintery or festive pillows are a must. Pick your favorite motif, or grab them all.

Pillow cover - Mistletoe

This pillow cover on the couch makes the Christmas-decorated living room even more festive.
The bright and colorful motif is Tunisian crocheted and creates a pillow cover measuring 50x50 cm.

Pillow cover - Poinsettia

This pillow has a somewhat darker look, but with the poinsettia it is no less festive. It’s also perfect as a Christmas gift with a personal touch. This one is crocheted again using the Tunisian simple stitch. The finished pillow cover fits pillows measuring 50x50 cm.

Pillow cover - Snowflake

If you’d prefer to decorate a little more neutrally but still with a wintery feel, this pillow with the ice-blue snowflake might be the right choice for you.

Here, too, the motif is Tunisian crocheted and creates a pillow cover measuring 50x50 cm.

The magical door wreath with the cheeky gingerbread man and all his tempting treats reflects the wonderful mood of the Christmas season. Everywhere smells like cookies, chocolate, and pfeffernüsse! Candy canes are a must, too, of course.

Decorate your table with this cute Advent wreath and light a tea light each week in front of Mr. Snowman and his wife, and celebrate the festival of love together with them!

The two sweet gingerbread men, including a candy cane, are a lovely decoration for your Christmas breakfast table and, on top of that, very useful as egg cozies!

With this cute snowman door wreath, you’ll bring the winter mood into your home! A wreath decorated with beads and winter flowers also makes it a colorful eye-catcher!

These twoegg cozies are also a wonderful idea for festively decorating your Christmas table. Moose and sheep come dressed in Christmas outfits!

The table also needs to be nicely set during the Christmas season. Whether crocheted egg cozies or napkin rings, a lovingly prepared breakfast table is a good start to the day and creates a cozy atmosphere!

All my patterns are also well suited for beginners. But if you do get stuck, I’m always happy to help by email.

Best wishes, Danie
