Here are a few suggestions for Advent and Christmas patterns that you can crochet using leftover yarn and that also make great Secret Santa gifts. They’re also perfect for filling an Advent calendar:

Heavenly Orchestra
Whether with or without instruments, these sweet little angels make a wonderful decoration! Hang them on the Christmas tree or use them as gift tags or guardian angels on your keychain.

. Little Moose
Moose are a popular motif at Christmas. Here, the moose is a keychain. It also works great as a gift tag or for the Christmas tree.

Star Elves
The star elves are very easy to crochet. They’re perfect as pincushions, gift tags, Christmas tree ornaments, or colorful garlands.

Christmas Egg Cozies
St. Nicholas, a snowman, and a little angel will keep your breakfast eggs warm. A great table decoration (even without eggs) and a cute Secret Santa gift!

Christmas Finger Puppets
Frosty the Snowman, Santa Claus, and Rudolph with the red nose are perfect for an Advent calendar or, when stuffed so they stand better, as a cute table decoration. The kids will love them!

 Crocheted Christmas Tree Ornaments

Small decorative little angels (size approx. 11 x 14 cm) work very well as Christmas tree ornaments, are quick to crochet, and the
crochet pattern is ideal for on the go, a small weekend project, or an

This year I made snowflakes for Christmas. One snowflake has a diameter of approx. 15 cm and looks similar to a little star.
The snowflakes are wonderful Christmas tree ornaments and can also
be used as door or window decorations, or as coasters for candle holders. One snowflake can be crocheted very quickly. Only a little yarn is needed. Ideal for using up scraps!

Rudolph - The Red Nosed Moose isn't quite sure whether he's a reindeer or a moose. But either way, he fits perfectly into the Advent and Christmas season and can be made as a decorative object, cuddly toy, or even as a music box.

The pattern is suitable for ambitious beginners who know the basic crochet terms. But I'm also available if you have any questions. For more detailed information about the yarn used, please check the pattern description.

Have fun crocheting, and enjoy the anticipation of the Christmas season!

If you want to make your own gift wrapping for your Christmas presents, you’ll need time, ideas, and—ideally—suitable craft templates. I can help you with the latter: for example, this little Christmas tree is very easy to recreate using the detailed templates.

The tree is made of photo cardstock, measures approximately 16 x 22 cm, and is easy to recreate even for craft beginners with a little experience.

Table and door wreaths are a must during the Christmas season.
Here are my recommendations for you:

Door Wreath "Snowman"
The snowman greets you with a friendly smile and has dressed up nicely with a top hat and bow! A wreath decorated with beads and winter flowers makes him a colorful eye-catcher!

Door Wreath "Gingerbread Man"
The charming door wreath tempts with all its irresistible treats and a funny gingerbread man!

Advent Wreath "Snowman"
Decorate your table with this cute Advent wreath and light a tea light each week in front of Mr. Snowman and his wife.

Advent Wreath "Gingerbread Man"
The cheerful gingerbread men accompany you through the Advent season, decorating a pretty wreath.

Nothing beats the anticipation of Christmas. It’s the season for lots of crafting, always with Christmas in mind. You can make yourself really cozy, and almost as a side effect, beautiful things are created that bring joy to us or to others. Here are a few suggestions from me. Maybe there’s something here that’s just right for you.

You’ll find more sample pictures, information, and the patterns themselves by clicking on the headings.

I hope you have lots of fun making them. Yours, Ina

Crochet pattern: Star
-> beautiful decoration for a Christmas arrangement or as a gift tag; the Christmas crystal is stiffened, so it can be used to decorate anywhere

Crochet pattern: Christmas or Gift Bag

-> original gift wrapping instead of paper; the bag can be reused after Christmas; leftover yarn is enough; double, sturdy base

Crochet pattern: Advent Calendar
-> Every child’s favorite: 24 little bags filled with lovely things; after Christmas, you can reuse the bags for other little treats (Easter, children’s birthdays, etc.); includes a printable template for the numbers

Crochet pattern: St. Nicholas Boot
-> Well, who wouldn’t be happy about this: a St. Nicholas boot filled with sweets on December 6; this one also looks great in fuchsia, pink, and white—Christmas colors aren’t always a must :-)

Crochet pattern: Star-Shaped Pillow or Doily

-> can be crocheted either as a pillow or a doily, and of course it can be made in other colors too

You can even make your own Christmas tree ornaments. The best part—you don’t have to stick to the color schemes dictated by retailers; instead, you can let your creativity run wild with whatever colors you like.

The stars are made from photo cardstock, measure approximately 12 x 12 x 2 cm, and are easy to recreate with a little crafting experience.
