The crocheted vegetable basket is perfect as decoration for the fall season, for Thanksgiving, for example. After that, the children will be delighted when they can add the vegetables to their play kitchen or pretend grocery store, because the vegetables look “just like the real thing.” They’re just a little smaller. The basket contains: 1 cauliflower, 1 leek, 1 zucchini, 1 eggplant, 1 ear of corn, 1 tomato, 3 bell peppers, 2 carrots, and 1 kohlrabi.

This is a wonderful weekend project because you only need leftover yarn for it and don’t have to go out and buy extra yarn. You can also decide for yourself which vegetables and how many of them you’d like to crochet.

Ingo the hedgehog would also be delighted to decorate your living room in autumn. He will be about 14 cm tall and is wonderfully soft and cuddly, because he is crocheted from velvet yarn (Bohème Velvet) and eyelash yarn (Brazilia). Only single crochet stitches are used.

What can you make from leftover yarn on the weekend? First, make yourself comfortable: pull out the yarn box, make a little coffee, put on your reading glasses ... and then you still need the right idea! Maybe you’ll like one of my leftover-yarn ideas? For more pictures, information, and the pattern, just click on the heading.

I wish you a cozy weekend.
Warm regards from Ina

Crochet pattern: 2-piece doll outfit, consisting of skirt and top

-> The full, flared skirt has an adjustable length. Both pieces close at the back with a snap fastener and fit perfectly. Children’s hands can easily take them off and put them on.

Crochet pattern: (night) dress with bolero
-> A slim dress with a shaped bust and a matching bolero, in a solid color or colorful or made with gradient yarn, always brings children joy

Knitting pattern: wrist warmers
-> ideal for fall and mild winter weather, little fingers can type freely on a smartphone, yet the hands stay warm - and the wrist warmers look chic, too. With a shaped thumb, they fit perfectly on the hand. 50 to 60 g is enough for a pair.

How about a new hat for the weekend?

You can knit this hat from the very little ones all the way up to adults. Leftover yarn is also ideal for the baby hat.

Basic knowledge of knit and purl stitches should be present. The loop pattern is shown step by step with pictures in the pattern.

Christmas may still be a ways off, but Halloween is coming soon!

From half a ball of cotton yarn with a length of 60–80 m / 50 g, you can crochet a spooky skull like this as a Halloween decoration. If you want to decorate it with colorful flowers and ornaments, like in the first picture, you’ll also need a few scraps of colorful cotton yarn. It looks very decorative and is reminiscent of Mexican “sugar skulls.” The simple skull is hollow inside and
can be lit up with an LED light.

The dreamcatcher feather symbolizes freedom, lightness, and creativity. That makes it a lovely companion for you or someone you care about.
You can make the feather in your favorite colors, give your leftover yarn a new lease on life, and craft beautiful bag charms, gift tags, garlands, keychains, and dreamcatchers!

The mug warmer fits all reusable to-go cups and mugs with handles and is a lovely gift for both women and men.

This pattern includes plenty of photos for each step and is suitable for beginners.

Through September 20, the mug warmer with a dreamcatcher feather and all other shop items are available with a 30% shop discount to celebrate my milestone birthday.

You can find the pattern here

Are you already in the mood to decorate your windows for fall? Then these leaves are just the thing: they’re easy to make and can be varied in many ways!

The Autumn leaves are made from photo cardstock and translucent paper and measure about 16 to 20 cm.

You can use each leaf template multiple times and cover each one with different autumn colors—that alone greatly expands the range of possible variations.

To create even more leaf variations, you can also cover the basic shapes as mirror images or print the templates larger or smaller.
